Liquorix kernel applies Zen interactive tuning, the PDS process scheduler, the Kyber I/O scheduler even on NVMe systems, still uses ACPI CPUFreq rather than AMD P-State on Ryzen, and a variety of other patches and kernel configuration differences compared to a pure upstream #LinuxKernel as default.
Across 164 benchmarks carried out, upstream Linux 6.18 LTS kernel was faster overall.

@getajobmike #Unit193's solution to contributing to #freesoftware was becoming a #Debian / #Ubuntu packager, which is a thankless task, which is why I try to thank him now and then.
#damentz of #Liquorix / #ZenKernel's solution was to create that kernel project and run it for over decade.
Others run distros like #antiX, and support them. #mrmazda has supported #linux desktop users for ages.
I use specific names because supporting free software is the work of individuals dedicated to it.

It's not common to hear such low level discussion and I'd been interested in schedulers because I've known #damentz of #liquorix kernel project so long. And I've helped test the experimental schedulers he's used over years.
