I've only had two #Thinkpads that take external batteries: my X200t, and this x260.

I actually have three batteries for my X200t. I bought one when I bought the device in 2019, I got one from the guy that did the #Libreboot conversion for me, and I bought another one later on.

They all lasted four hours initially. Now, two of them last literally zero seconds, even in S3 suspend, and I haven't tried the third one lately.

I don't know how to get quality #Thinkpad batteries. :/

I've been thinking of asking @libreleah, though. Any tips, Leah? Know of any trustable vendors for TP batteries? I've had rotten luck with them. :P

Running #FreeBSD on my #Libreboot 'ed #Thinkpad T480 has been nice. There are a couple of quirks, like the battery reading, since it has two. I put it to sleep using the zzz command which works well, and waking it back up also is pretty fast, the main issue I have is that WiFi doesn't work after resume, and I have to run 'mdo service netif restart'

Anyone managed to any of the #Fedora #AtomicDesktop distros booting on #LibreBoot yet? I can boot it fine if I explicitly choose the NVME drive but the "normal" boot process doesn't find Fedora's bootloader. The Fedora specific instructions on the Libreboot website don't seem to apply to #Atomic versions.

This is such a good thread, but of all the replies and quote toots, no one has mentioned #coreboot #libreboot

Of course there are very old and limited number of boards that can run these, and i'm wondering if this could give a boost to more boards being supported.

Just curious, what's the status of #LibreBoot with regard to battery thresholds?

I recall on my X200, tp-smapi wasn't supported. Has that changed on newer machines?
