Habt ihr zusätzlich zu der Blockliste, die als Standard vorhanden ist noch weitere eingebunden?Ich z.B. habe noch von HaGeZi zusätzlich die Multi Pro Blockliste eingebunden, weil das eine empfohlene Blocklist ist.
Aktuell stehen damit im Moment ca. 336.500 Domains auf der gesamten Blockliste, was dazu führt das ca. 1/3 aller DNS Anfragen weggefiltert werden. -

Statt Portainer läuft hier nun der von mehreren Seiten empfohlene Dockhand. Gefällt mir sehr gut.

J'aime Pi-hole. Cette requête est émise des centaines de fois par jour depuis un téléphone sur lequel ne sont installées aucune application de Microsoft.

Deswegen habe ich die drei Kollegen engagiert.
#NoScript blockiert erstmal standardmäßig und ausnahmslos Javascripte, die ich dann einzeln manuell erlauben muss. Ist am Anfang ein wenig Arbeit, aber irgendwann weiß mensch, welche Script notwenig sind und welche nicht.
#uBlockOrigin blockiert Domains, Scripte und Tracker, allerdings auf der Basis von Listen
#Pihole als dritte und letzte Instanz, bevor irgendwas ins Netz geht. Im Pihole kann ich einzelne Domains angeben, die blockiert werden sollen oder Regex-Filter benutzen, um alle Domains, die einem bestimmten Pattern folgen, zu filtern, z.B. `watson\..*\.microsoft\.com` oder `(\.cn$|\.su$|\.ru$|\.vn$|\.top$|\.link$|\.zip$|\.ads$|\.bingo$)`.Obwohl uBO schon sehr fleißig ist und viel filtert, sehe ich im Pihole dann doch noch einiges, was durchrutscht.
Erstaunlicherweise taucht Microslop hier auf, obwohl ich Windows mehr oder weniger komplett in die Tonne getreten habe.

#Pihole wird zwar immer wieder als Werbeblocker bezeichnet, aber meiner Erfahrung nach ist #uBlockOrigin (neben NoScript) der wirkliche Gatekeeper.
Pihole filtert allerdings sehr zuverlässig (je nach Fütterung) maliziöse Websites wie Fakeshops oder ähnliches. Außerdem kann mit Pihole verhindert werden, dass irgendein Device bzw. eine Software aus dem heimischen Netz "nach Hause telefoniert", sprich Telemetriedaten können effizient abgefangen werden. Dazu muss man allerdings die entsprechende URL kennen und diese Pihole mitteilen.Mich würde es nicht wundern, wenn der DuckDuckGo-Browser uBlockOrigin als Standard-Plugin installiert und aktiviert hat. Das machen andere Privacy-orientierte Browser ebenfalls.

I’m looking for help writing a shell script for Pi-hole API work.
Basically, I have my NAS on site A and it’s a dynamic WAN IP. I have my Pi-hole on site B and sites and devices are linked with a Wireguard VPN. Site B has a static ip.
Essentially what I would like to do is have the NAS figure out its own WAN IP and then do a Pi-hole API call to update its own Local DNS record nas.lan. In theory since all my devices on the wireguard vpn use Pihole as DNS server it should function.
Help appreciated because I don’t use AI for this sort of thing.

Kommt drauf an: Wenn die Werbung als "normales" Video daherkommt (wie seit neulich in den Shorts) oder von Streamern während des Streams präsentiert wird, wird das natürlich nicht gefiltert (da dürfte jedoch auch der DuckDuckGo-Browser einknicken). Alles andere wird bei mir gefiltert und ins Datennirvana geschickt. Ich habe weder vor noch während noch nach den Streams irgendwelche von utube eingespielte Werbeblöcke oder Werbung neben dem Player.
Das funktioniert übrigens nicht nur bei utube, sondern auch bei allen anderen Seiten, die irgendwelche Werbung schalten.

I ran adguard until Saturday when I identified random hickups in "Internet" access (DNS actually) as insufficient resources for that lxc container.. needed more than given 512MB RAM.
Switched to pi-hole now with the same filterlists. Less than 100MB. Some feature restrictions, like convenient explicit service filtering. But I used them not very often.. so I think I am fine with pi-hole.
