A newly revealed exploit called “YellowKey” may let attackers bypass BitLocker encryption on Windows 11 and Windows Server systems using only a USB stick and a simple reboot trick. The researcher who disclosed it says the flaw is so severe, and so oddly specific to newer Windows versions, that they suspect it could be an intentional backdoor. Windows 10 does not appear to be affected.
