Письмо, которое ходит за вас: разбираю свежий SSRF в Roundcube на живом стенде

Вы открыли письмо, а ваш почтовый сервер по указанию из него уже стучится на внутренний адрес, которого вы ему не давали. В июле 2026 Roundcube закрыл релизом 1.6.17 сразу пачку дыр, две из них на 10.0 из 10. Я поднял уязвимую версию на изолированном стенде и прошёл SSRF целиком: HTML-письмо со ссылкой на стиль заставляет сервер сходить во внутреннюю сеть, обход защиты через sslip.io, а в логе виден запрос от IP самого сервера. Разбираю код, показываю как это поймать в логах и как чинит фикс. Отдельно честно объясняю, почему вторую 10.0 (zero-click XSS) из открытых данных воспроизвести нельзя, хотя выглядит эффектно.

I recently made the switch from desktop Chrome to desktop #Firefox, which has mostly been fine, except for one problem:

Firefox stops bothering to answer AJAX requests in tabs pretty quickly, which makes my preferred webmail client--#Roundcube--FAR less functional under FF than it was under Chrome.

If left alone for a moment--or sometimes, even while typing an email--FF stops paying attention, further AJAX calls fail, and I'm forced to refresh the tab.

Anybody have any ideas?

The changes in #Roundcube also mean that versions >= 1.7 will probably stop working on simple shared hosting services in the future which only provide the htdocs folder to the user. It might already be permanently broken on shared hosting services that use #NGINX.

TIL: Was wondering why #Roundcube broke when moving from version 1.6 to 1.7.

Turns out that the core maintainer introduced a "static.php" that now serves all static files because he was unhappy that people didn't use the "public_html/" folder to serve content.

That means that the retrieval of each and every single static file now needs a PHP process. The script is already collecting workarounds left and right. What utter bullshit.
