Mal unter Android wieder #Thunderbird ausprobieren. Bislang nutze ich #Fairemail , aber da wird man von den Einstellungen erschlagen - z.B. habe ich keine Ahnung, welche Ordner gerade wie oft synchronisiert werden oder wo ggf. sogar gepusht wird. Kann man irgendwo einsehen, aber ist nicht gerade selbsterklärend.
Einziger Vorteil von Fairemail: Ich kann on-the-fly eine beliebige Absenderadresse (innerhalb meiner Maildomain) beim Schreiben einer E-Mail angeben, bei Thunderbird muss ich vorher erst einen Alias anlegen.

Auf dem Handy in #fairemail kann ich dazu einfach spontan Aliase anlegen, die entsprechend eine andere Absenderadresse verwenden. Und in #mutt sowieso schon immer seit 30 Jahren 😄

Mailbox.org hat das Problem gelöst. Es trat wohl nur in #FairEmail auf, nachdem Mailbox.org Änderungen an der DNS-Zone vorgenommen und Schlüssel ausgetauscht hatte.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use email aliases in the #FairEmail app? I have some in my #mailbox_org account and I receive all messages just fine, but I don't want to reply to them using my standard address.

@9Lukas5 Hm, OAuth is probably a thing here. FairEmail works for me smoothly via IMAP/SMTP and a mailbox.org account, but not using OAuth. So I'm not much help with OAuth.
"message shows up after successful login on the OAuth Website": Is the login done by FairEmail or an external browser? In the second case, transferring the token could be a problem. But that's a wild guess, tho.
Anyone else here in Fedi with some ideas?

Open Source, privacy-fokussiert, keine Werbung, kein Tracking-Zirkus und trotzdem richtig stark im Alltag. Mehrere Konten, Unified Inbox, Offline-Nutzung und volle Kontrolle, ohne dieses aufgeblasene App-Gefühl.

Wer seinen Mailclient selbst wählen will, sollte FairEmail echt mal anschauen.
