Today I’ve finally gathered myself and installed the long awaited kitchen worktop sockets. #Zigbee of course, #BSeed ones, I guess #Tuya compatible, but I obviously run them via #HomeAssistant without any issues.
It was a bit complicated, because it’s 2 triples with a bit tight cables, but in the end it was a success. I can now reuse #Insplening outlets somewhere else, where they won’t stand out that much.

Recently, my Brother, who has just started throwing some cash into the smart home money pit, brought me some new devices to try. He said it’s mmWave presence sensor, but after a bit of tinkering, I’ve had some bad news for him…

ESPHome/Tasmota #tuya #zigbee #esphome #homeassistant #cloudfree -
Went to the chinese shop to buy some household and found this cheap #rgb #bluetooth bulb. It says #tuya compatible, so I wonder if it works with #homeassistant . Will try, in the worst case I'll be happy to destroy it to see what #mcu has inside and if it's #hackable / flashable. A lot of fun in any case 🤣 -
In a neighboring office, there is a device (some kind of smart Tuya gadget based on the MAC) that keeps trying to connect to our WiFi router.
```
hostapd: phy1-ap0: STA d8:d6:68:... IEEE 802.11: authenticated
```
We have fired and disabled it.(For some reasons not specified here, it is not an option to go over and ask them what it is.)
Is there anything we can do about this? How common is this sort of thing?

Tuya

Another day, another #Zigbee device tried with my test setup and it integrates into #HomeAssistant with good results.
This one is a #Tuya - #MOES co-branded touch switch which seemed to integrate easily. Pretty smooth. (Using a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 stick for the hub and ZHA.)
I'm pretty sold on using Zigbee wherever I can at this point, based on the smooth results across brands.
