And now I have #MeshCore on my #Heltec

That makes me a happy man. Except of course I still live out in the sticks and am not close enough to anyone to actually see them.

But I shall be trying both #Meshtastic and #Meshcore to see which gives me anyone to chat with.

Thanks to everyone who gave helpful comments. I fully accept that I didn't need to compile anything to make this work, but there were several options along the way that might have needed that.

Also...

1. The instructions mentioned nothing about #Linux need me to join the #dialout group
2. I had to reset the #heltec into bootloader mode. This might have been as it was pre loaded with #meshtastic, but that would have been good to know.
3. I had to change the baud rate on the UART connection using #Putty
4. I had to install a #Chrome based browser that I really don't want to have.

But it was a fun task and I've learned a fair bit. 🙂

Sitze hier immer noch auf dem Trockenen in der Südheide in #Hermannsburg
Heute meinen stationären Node "MINTasticLab" auf #heltec v3 umgestellt, da ohne #gps-Modul, was bei einem stationären Node ja auch nicht nötig ist.
Dieser Node wurde erstmal provisorisch auf dem Dachboden positioniert, in der Hoffnung, damit ein bisschen an Reichweite zu gewinnen.
Mein mobiler Node "MINTasticMobile" ist ein #tbeam mit #gps

1. run multiple #lora #rnodes on one computer.
2. make voice calls over #433mhz ( #ism band at low 12dBm power) between two #rnodes , but of course with delay.
I used #heltec #t114 (version 2 ) and two #lilygo #tbeam for
#VoiceCall #telephony

3. image files can also be transferred

I am hearing that the #heltec #t114 v2 as a #solarnode can show critical error 12 and permanently illuminated green leb with flash corruption, perhaps due to under voltage when battery in low charge state in some #solarnode setups. Anyone get this error or behaviour also? Any firmwear or other fixes known or required? Thanks. #meshtastic
