I think it's a little unfair of Lesley to blame the #Greens for bringing #HumzaYousaf down. HE sacked THEM, not the other way round; having sacked them, he didn't have a majority any longer. They didn't vote against him; he resigned.
Once he had resigned, they voted with the government against the motion of no confidence.

Very sad to see Humza Yousaf step down. I met him when he was Health Secretary, and was very impressed at how approachable and willing to listen he was. Seemed like a good, thoughtful person, who could see the bigger picture.

While Sunak's Blue Tories winning the next UK GE would be disastrous, it would also be bad if Starmer's Red Tories were to get a thumping majority. A strong SNP makes that less likely.

SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT
It's being widely reported that Humza Yousaf is resigning as First Minister of Scotland today. If he does there will be 28 days for parliament to appoint a new FM, otherwise there will be an early election.
Given the SNP do not have a majority, it remains to be seen whether they'll find a new FM who can secure Green/Alba votes or abstentions, or whether Scotland will have an early Scottish parliament election this summer.
