"‘Vigilante’ murder shines light on Bulgaria’s neo-nazi underground

What began as a teenage ‘vigilante’ murder has opened a window onto Plovdiv’s established neo-nazi scene, including the Blood & Honour network.

    (. . .)

Georgi Kuzev was lured to Plovdiv’s Youth Hill on 4 August by teenagers posing online as a girl. The group claimed to be hunting paedophiles, but prosecutors say Kuzev was beaten for more than an hour while the attack was filmed. He later died in hospital.

Five teenagers, three boys and two girls aged 14 to 17, have been charged with murder.

Nazi imagery and gestures have featured in material connected with the group and the investigation has subsequently led police to a much older and more established neo-nazi presence in Plovdiv.

On the night of 15–16 August, police and Bulgaria’s State Agency for National Security (DANS) raided a private club opposite Youth Hill, detaining 18 people identified by police as being affiliated with Blood & Honour. The premises had reportedly been used for meetings by the group for the last two years."

"What is Dominion Society of Canada and why are people of different political backgrounds worried?

Anti-immigration group says it's holding Aug. 29 conference in the Hamilton area

    (. . .)

The self-proclaimed nationalist group — which advocates deporting millions of people from Canada — registered as a non-profit in 2025, according to a federal corporation database.

    What is the group about?

According to Evan Balgord, who directs the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, Dominion Society likely has thousands of members — mostly young white men and boys.

The group was founded by Daniel Tyrie, former executive director of the People's Party of Canada, which is led by Maxime Bernier.

Balgord said to understand Dominion Society, you need to know 'they speak out of both sides of their mouth.'

On its website, Dominion Society describes itself as 'promoting Canadian nationalism and immigration reform.'

However, 'when they're talking just to their supporters, they're talking about how they need to deport people from Canada who are not the right kind of white and European,' Balgord said.

Balgord said the Canadian Anti-Hate Network found Dominion Society has 'neo-Nazi members' and shares members with 'more openly extreme' white nationalist groups, including Diagolon and Second Sons."

"Fascists attack Kurdish seasonal workers in Düzce
A group of fascists attacked Kurdish workers from Mardin who had traveled to Cumayeri and Gümüşova districts of Düzce for seasonal work.

    (. . .)

According to the workers, who did not want to give their names for security reasons, the attack took place in the evening while they were sitting in the garden of the house where they were staying. A group approached the house and one of the assailants pulled a knife on them.

The workers described what happened as follows: 'It was evening, and we were sitting in the garden of our house. Suddenly, a group came up to our garden. One of them pulled out a knife and began swearing at us. He told us that we had to leave and that they did not want us here. We were frightened and called the police. The police arrived and took the man away. But now we are genuinely afraid that more attacks could follow. That is why we are considering leaving.'"

"Mossos reinforce Barcelona against far-right anti-immigration activists despite their 700,000 signatures
Mossos and hundreds of anti-fascists isolated the fifty ultras of Save Europe Act in Barcelona. The group defends remigration and has gathered 700,000 European signatures, an initiative blocked by the Commission.

Hundreds of people gathered at 6:00 PM in Plaça de Sant Jaume in Barcelona to prevent the call for Save Europe Act, an event that ended with a large cordon of Mossos d'Esquadra between anti-fascist groups and a much lower attendance on the convener's side.

The protest left an image of strong imbalance in the square, because the organization that displayed a giant banner with the slogan about remigration barely gathered a little more than fifty people in front of a much larger response from the counter-demonstration. The Generalitat de Catalunya reinforced the police operation to monitor possible incitement to hatred and prevent confrontations."

  7. @emilyenco people who believe in a 'vanguard party' believe in an elite; and in every #MarxistLeninist state that has ever existed, that elite has arrogated to itself huge privilege. This isn't to say that #MarxismLeninism is 'the same as' or 'just as bad as' #Fascism, it clearly isn't. But the reason that #Stalin felt it more important to crush the #AnarchoSyndicalists in the #SpanishCivilWar than to defeat the #Fascists is that they were more of a threat to his so-called #Communism.

  8. Looks like the social.cu2d.com instance is full of total fascists and other assorted arseholes.

Might be worth blocking before their stupidity spreads further.

As a proud member of one of the many groups Trump loathes (professor, woman, Jew) -- actually three so almost a home run -- how about terminating Trump's partnerships (and Kushner and Lutnick and all the rest) that compromise our national security & make these #fascists vast, obscene amounts of money?

These college witch hunts are just that.

  11. #Muskism #fascists

    "Modern counter-revolution and fascism

We know the first words of the *Communist Manifesto*: 'A spectre is haunting Europe'. Today, two 'spectres' with a material reality seem to haunt the capitalist world and weigh on the destinies of humanity: Donald Trump and artificial intelligence (AI). How do they fit together? What world are they likely to lead us to?

    (. . .)

In Europe, layoffs are raining down in industry and cuts in public services are increasing, while in many capitals speculation and rising rents are pushing the popular classes out. Admittedly, the policy of states is now more openly introduced into trade and, to a lesser extent, into international investment and even into the encouragement of certain activities (first and foremost in the field of AI), but this does not mean the end of globalization but the struggle of the various imperialisms to set the conditions and/or defend their 'share of the pie' in this 'capitalism of finitude'. This in a context where the United States wants to maintain its pre-eminence against China. As for new technologies, they lead to renewed forms of interweaving between private activities and the state; as Slobodian and Tarnoff write, far from being libertarian, 'a core principle of Muskism is public-private fusion; the use of the state as funder, enabler, and backstop for high-risk, high-reward ventures—what we call state symbiosis. One can see this clearly in SpaceX, Starlink, and Tesla. Musk is a stalwart critic of bureaucracy and certain kinds of regulation but certainly not the state as such. On the contrary, he has consistently instrumentalized the state as a source of power and profit. He does so by promising to help governments fulfil their sovereign functions through reliance on his infrastructures: a dynamic we describe as sovereignty-as-a-service'. The symbiosis of the state and digital firms is reinforced by the military factor: the many examples of collaboration between these firms and the armed forces and police show that 'far from techno-libertarian fantasies according to which large technology companies are autonomous from the state, there is a military-digital complex'. Moreover, Palantir, despite Peter Thiel’s libertarian tirades, lives largely in symbiosis with states and their armed and police forces."

  14. @Beggarmidas Clever people can have the same extreme #patterns as fascist people - and out-do themselves by going to their own spectrum's #extreme.

    what I mean is :

    - for #fascists it might be "getting rid of people" until they're the only one's left (then they have to get rid of them-self or whoever is left)

    - for #clever people (tech #privacy) they might think "everything is insecure" and over-focus - to the extent they never #communicate / build much! (stuck in a mono-tunnel)

    Makes sense?
