"DFLP calls for building global humanitarian front against Zionist fascism

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) called on Saturday, on the anniversary of the victory over Nazism in World War II, for the establishment of a global humanitarian front to confront the crimes of Zionist fascism, which has not ceased its brutal crimes against the Palestinian people and the peoples of the region.

In a statement, the DFLP said: 'In the 1948 territories, the fascist entity continues to practice the most heinous policies of racial discrimination against our Palestinian people, denying them access to higher education, the right to employment, equal allocations in municipal and local council budgets, judicial discrimination, and the continued confiscation of land for Judaization projects, as was the case on March 30, 1976.'”

"Statement by the Palestine Coalition and Stand Up to Racism

The right to protest is a fundamental freedom

In the wake of the horrific antisemitic attack in Golders Green, politicians and the media have rushed to falsely characterise the marches for Palestine and to call for them to be suspended. These calls dangerously conflate Jewish people with the state of Israel and peaceful political protest with unconnected violent acts. We utterly reject both.

On Saturday 16 May we will march in London for the annual commemoration of the Nakba – the catastrophe inflicted on the Palestinians by Israel since 1948. We will march in opposition to the British government’s complicity in Israel’s well-documented ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide.

This year, we will also march against Tommy Robinson and his far-right supporters mobilising on the same day. The organisers of the demonstration are fascists, racists, and Islamophobes who have espoused the antisemitic great replacement theory.

As always, our march will involve thousands of Jewish people – many of them proudly displaying their Jewish identity – as part of the Jewish Bloc, as organisers and platform speakers. By bringing together people from all backgrounds and walks of life, we will reaffirm opposition to all forms of racism including anti-Palestinian racism, antisemitic, and Islamophobia.

The right to protest is a fundamental democratic freedom that must be protected. We call on all those who believe in the universal principles of freedom, justice, and equality to join us at 12 noon on Exhibition Road on Saturday 16 May.

"Palestinian Resistance Committees: Settler Gangs' Crimes in Al-Mughayyir Continuation of Fascist Crimes

The Palestinian Resistance Committees condemned on Wednesday the brutal and bloody crimes perpetrated by Zionist settler gangs in the village of Al-Mughayyir in the occupied West Bank, which targeted a school and its surroundings. They described these crimes as a continuation of the series of fascist crimes committed by the Zionist criminal regime.

In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Committees stated that the martyrdom of several Palestinians in Al-Mughayyir, resulting from settler attacks and crimes carried out with the support and protection of the Zionist army, reveals the height of savagery, fascism, and criminality within the bloodthirsty Zionist society, this society is founded on murder, massacres, genocide, and ethnic cleansing, all aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their land."

"Reading the story in light of the overall arc of Jewish history, we immediately see that as a people, we have spent much more time in the state that our tradition calls galut ('exile') than one of sovereignty within the Land.

Galut is a complex concept, but in brief: traditional Jewish thought has held that our exile from the Land was a direct result of failing to live in a proper way, and therefore it could only be reversed by God during the final redemption (when 'the wolf will live with the lamb,' the dead will be resurrected, and so forth).

Crucially, mystical teachers from the Holy Ari to the Lubavitcher Rebbe have held that we were not sent into exile as a punishment, but rather because a time had arrived in which our holy work could no longer be done while dwelling all together in the Promised Land.

That is, galut is the state the Jewish people are supposed to exist in. We are now meant to live all around the world, in interrelationship with many other peoples. It used to be called Canaan. Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg explains why that is no longer true. Even though her explanation is rooted in religion, it worth reading.

Coming out of slavery and into freedom, our ancestors had a dilemma: How will we live in the world? How will we strive for safety? What kind of people do we want to be?

They tried the path of conquest; genocide; sovereignty; military might. Maybe that path was incompatible with right living—with all those good relationships between people, Land, and Creator.

Maybe the fact that it ended badly is the entire point.

So our Creator removed us from that state and handed us a different task: galut. Where the rules we should live by are not those of domination and control, but of interrelation and coexistence.

Maybe those ancestors, so recently enslaved, didn’t know any better way to do things.

May we ourselves merit to find one, speedily and in our days."

  12. #OccupiedPalestine #labor #racism #ChrisSmalls #BlackLivesMatter

"Israel Beats American Labor Organizer Chris Smalls (and Only Chris Smalls) in Latest Attempt to Keep Starving Gaza

Smalls joined the Freedom Flotilla on the Handala, a small boat carrying 21 brave souls including medics, lawyers, journalists, and justice seekers who dared to challenge Israel’s inhuman blockade on Gaza. For this act of solidarity, Smalls was violently attacked. Seven Israeli officers beat and choked him in custody, leaving visible injuries on his neck and back. Accounts from the Flotilla say that when his lawyer reached him, 'Chris was surrounded by six members of Israel’s special police unit. This level of force was not used against other abducted activists.' The report further condemns the violence and demands accountability for the assault and discriminatory treatment.

No other activist sailing with the flotilla has faced this level of brutality. The message was clear: a Black man who organizes labor and stands with Palestine is a threat the apartheid state cannot stomach.

Yet the media silence is deafening.

Israel has a long and well-documented history of anti-Black racism, even against Black Jews. Ethiopian Jews have faced forced sterilizations, police brutality, segregation in schools, and systemic discrimination in housing, employment, and healthcare. They’ve been treated as second-class citizens in a state that claims to be their homeland. Black asylum seekers from Eritrea and Sudan are labeled 'infiltrators' and caged in detention camps like Holot. Meanwhile, Afro-Palestinians living under occupation face the compounded violence of anti-Blackness and apartheid.

Smalls isn’t a Swedish climate celebrity with a PR team. He’s not a politician wrapped in diplomatic protections or media goodwill. He’s a Black man from Hackensack, New Jersey, who built worker power from a warehouse floor and dared to see his liberation connected to Palestine’s. That makes him dangerous and disposable in the eyes of the empire.

Where are the headlines? Where is the outrage from the same liberals who flooded the streets in 2020 and plastered Black Lives Matter on their timelines and lawn signs? When it comes to Palestine, too many Black liberal voices fall shamefully silent or worse, echo the same white supremacist talking points used to justify genocide. They dismiss Gaza as 'not our issue,' forgetting that Black struggle doesn’t stop at the borders of the imperial core. They forget the Afro-Palestinians who are bombed and starved too. They forget that the Israeli police who choked Smalls operate with the same funding, weapons, and impunity as the ones who killed George Floyd.

Black liberation is not a brand. It is not just a U.S. project. It is inseparable from the fight against all colonial violence and that includes Israel’s apartheid regime. So when Chris Smalls was the only person on the Handala violently assaulted by Israeli forces, it wasn’t an anomaly. It was part of a pattern."

  13. Israeli Parliament Votes for Making #Apartheid Official. #Fetterman: “I Haven’t Been Following It.”

Israel’s Parliament voted in favor of annexing the #WestBank. Other Democrats interviewed by The Intercept condemned the move.

    Jessica Washington, July 26 2025

Excerpt: "The nonbinding resolution, which was advanced by Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu’s coalition and passed 71-13 in the Knesset, won’t legally change the reality in the West Bank — but it marks an escalation in the Israeli government’s efforts to annex the territory.

"Four Democrats in the Senate and House who spoke to The Intercept condemned the Israeli government’s vote. Others said they hadn’t been following the issue. Fetterman was one of three senators who told The Intercept on Thursday they were unaware of the Knesset vote. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, declined to comment.

"The resolution in the Knesset, or Parliament, called to apply 'Israeli sovereignty, law, judgment and administration to all the areas of Jewish settlement of all kinds in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley' — which is how most Israelis refer to the West Bank.
Currently, 3 million Palestinians reside in the West Bank, alongside over 500,000 Israeli settlers, who’ve established settlements in the occupied territory in violation of international law.

"Annexation of the West Bank would be at odds with the U.S. official policy goal for two states — one for Palestinians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, and one state for Israel comprising its pre-1967 borders.

"The two-state solution has won official backing from successive presidents dating back to the late 1990s — except for Donald #Trump — to assuage concerns over Israel having permanent control over millions of Palestinians without full civil rights.

"Though the conditions already exist — there is a growing consensus that Israel in an apartheid state — making this control officially permanent would make apartheid indisputable.

"Both Democratic and Republican administrations have repeatedly undermined the possibility of a two-state solution by arming Israel as it continues to attack Palestinian people and seize their territory, which lawmakers in Congress have made excuses for.
As public sentiment turns against Israel, however, with voters increasingly opposing the Netanyahu government’s genocide in Gaza, some members of Congress have been more willing to criticize the Israeli regime."

  14. From 2021: #Palestine’s forgotten oil and gas resources

A fair distribution of #Oil and gas resources in the Levant Basin will be needed to achieve a lasting political and economic settlement between Israel and Palestine.

Excerpt: "The prolonged closure and recurrent military operations in Gaza have left more than half the territory’s population living below the poverty line and cost $16.7bn in lost GDP annually. This figure does not account for the huge opportunity cost of preventing the Palestinian people from using their natural gas field off the shores of Gaza.

"The 1995 Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement on the #WestBank and #GazaStrip, known as the #OsloII Accord, gave the #PalestinianAuthority (PA) maritime jurisdiction over its waters up to 20 nautical miles from the coast. However, despite initial discussions between the Israeli government, the PA and British Gas on the sale of gas from this field and the provision of much-needed revenue to the occupied Palestinian territories, the Palestinians have not realised any benefits.

"Since the blockade of Gaza in 2007, the Israeli government has established de facto control over Gaza’s offshore natural gas reserves. The contractor, British Gas, has since been dealing with the Israeli government, effectively bypassing the Palestinian government regarding exploration and development rights.

"More recently, Israel has begun to develop new oil and gas finds in the Eastern Mediterranean, solely for its own benefit.

"'And now we ask: How can you eat, sleep, live? How guilty will you feel in your hearts if you do not move heaven and earth to come to our aid by the only means available to our people and as soon as possible? (...) For the love of God, do something now, and quickly."

This desperate cry for help, quoted by Saul Friedländer in his monumental work 'Nazi Germany and the Jews,' [1] is not new and does not come from the Palestinians in Gaza. It was made 81 years ago by Slovakian rabbi Michael Bar Weissmandl, who was trying to save the Jews of Slovakia from deportation—and death—in Auschwitz by appealing to the Zionist leadership in Palestine and to the American and British governments.

But that was not all. Weissmandl, whose appeals to the Allies to bomb both Auschwitz and the railways leading Slovak Jews to Auschwitz went unanswered, did not mince his words when he addressed them in very harsh terms, as well as the Zionist organization in Palestine, which systematically refrained from assisting Jews in Europe: 'And you—our brothers in Palestine, in all free countries, and you ministers of all these countries—how can you remain silent in the face of this great murder? Silent while thousands upon thousands, now six million Jews, were being murdered. Silent while tens of thousands are still being murdered or are about to be murdered? Their hearts are broken and they implore you for help while lamenting your cruelty. You are brutal and murderers because of the cold-blooded silence with which you observe'.

If the brave Weissmandl goes so far as to call the Zionists and the Anglo-American rulers, who refuse to help the victims of the Holocaust, murderers, then how would he describe the current rulers of countries such as the United States, Germany, France, and so many others who are not content to remain indifferent to Palestinian suffering, but go so far as to arm, finance, and diplomatically support the genocide of the State of Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza?

We already know the answer from those concerned, supported by the cream of neo-fascists and other nostalgics for the Third Reich around the world: 'what is happening in Gaza has nothing to do with the Holocaust, and any comparison is sacrilegious and... anti-Semitic'. And yet, thanks to the relentless efforts and perverse inventiveness of the political successors of those (Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir...) whom Einstein already called 'fascists' and 'terrorists' in 1948, [2] the comparisons are obvious because they are staring us in the face. For example, the one between the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw and the Palestinian ghetto in Rafah, cynically called a 'humanitarian city' (!) that Netanyahu and his accomplices are preparing to cram 600,000 starving Gazans on the brink of death into. And if there are any differences between the two ghettos, they are not necessarily in favor of the Israeli war criminals’ plan: the Rafah ghetto is already a field of ruins, unlike the Warsaw ghetto, which was only destroyed at the end and during the crushing of the heroic revolt of its last defenders. For the rest, it is the same organized famine and the same genocidal intentions and practices of the supremacist executioners who are not afraid to dehumanize their victims (Jews then, Palestinians today), calling them 'subhumans' or 'wild animals' and 'cockroaches that must be crushed...?"

This desperate cry for help, quoted by Saul Friedländer in his monumental work 'Nazi Germany and the Jews,' [1] is not new and does not come from the Palestinians in Gaza. 26. #Channel12 points out that #CBSdata counts #Israelis who left the country, did not return over the subsequent 10 months, and established their lives abroad, thus indicating trends rather than immediate causes. It also notes that the decision to #emigrate is complex and not necessarily tied to a single event, as such decisions typically involve several months of planning.

Overall, while the initial aftermath of 7 October saw a sharp rise in #PermanentDepartures from Israel, the rate has since stabilised.

Critics of #Israel argue that #Jews #radicalised by #Zionism often move to Israel as a fulfilment of #BiblicalProphecy but tend to leave during times of conflict, especially those holding a second #passport.

Israel is increasingly concerned about the trend of reverse #JewishMigration from #OccupiedPalestine, particularly at a time when the #demography of the state is a fundamental issue for the #Israeligovernment and #Zionist strategists. The movement of Jews away from Israel threatens the demographic balance Zionist leaders seek to maintain.
