Israele è fuori controllo: L’ex primo ministro scozzese Humza Yousaf sollecita un’azione globale per Gaza
Humza Yousaf ha invitato la comunità internazionale a intraprendere un’azione urgente contro Israele per il suo attacco a Gaza.L’ex primo ministro scozzese Humza Yousaf ha avvisato che Israele è “fuori controllo” e ha esortato la comunità internazionale a prendere provvedimenti urgenti per l’escalation dell’assalto a Gaza.
Le osservazioni di Yousaf sono arrivate in risposta al recente “ultimo avvertimento” del ministro della Difesa israeliano Israel Katz alla popolazione di Gaza, che Yousaf ha condannato come una “condanna a morte” per i palestinesi intrappolati nell’enclave devastata dalla guerra.
In un video condiviso su X, Yousaf ha descritto le agghiaccianti osservazioni di Katz – che ha minacciato la popolazione di Gaza di essere “cancellata” – come profondamente allarmanti.
“Questo non è un avvertimento. È una condanna a morte”, ha detto Yousaf, aggiungendo che dopo oltre 17 mesi di bombardamenti israeliani, i civili di Gaza non hanno ‘più un posto dove scappare’.Secondo i funzionari sanitari locali, oltre 61.700 palestinesi sono stati uccisi a Gaza da quando Israele ha lanciato la sua guerra contro l’enclave, la maggior parte dei quali sono donne e bambini.
“La gente di Gaza non ha bisogno di avvertimenti, ha bisogno di pace e ne ha bisogno ora”, ha detto Yousaf.
Ha invitato la comunità internazionale a intervenire immediatamente, a chiedere un cessate il fuoco e a garantire l’invio urgente di aiuti umanitari all’enclave assediata.“La comunità internazionale deve finalmente rendersi conto che il suo alleato, Israele, è fuori controllo”.
Yousaf ha anche parlato della situazione della popolazione della Striscia di Gaza, sottolineando la distruzione di interi quartieri e famiglie, la chiusura di due terzi delle strutture mediche e il blocco degli aiuti imposto da Israele durante il Ramadan.
Il politico ha affermato che, alla luce di tutto questo, “agli innocenti di Gaza, che non hanno commesso alcun crimine, viene detto che questo è il loro ultimo avvertimento”.
Yousaf ha esortato la comunità internazionale ad agire immediatamente contro Israele, chiedendo un cessate il fuoco ed esigendo che gli aiuti vengano consegnati rapidamente all’enclave.
“Con oltre 18.000 bambini già uccisi, quanti altri dovranno morire prima che si agisca?”. ha detto Yousaf. “Il nostro fallimento negli ultimi 17 mesi dovrebbe condannarci tutti”.Mercoledì, Katz ha minacciato la popolazione di Gaza di “distruzione e devastazione completa” se i prigionieri non fossero stati rilasciati, suggerendo una punizione collettiva.
“Residenti di Gaza, questo è un ultimo avvertimento”, ha detto il ministro della Difesa in un video trasmesso.
“Se tutti i prigionieri israeliani non verranno rilasciati e Hamas non verrà eliminato da Gaza, Israele agirà con forze che non avete mai conosciuto prima”.
“Seguite il consiglio del Presidente degli Stati Uniti. Restituite gli ostaggi ed eliminate Hamas, e vi si apriranno altre possibilità – compresa quella di andare in altri luoghi del mondo per coloro che lo desiderano. L’alternativa è la completa distruzione e devastazione”.
Il ministro si riferiva a un precedente avvertimento del presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump, che aveva detto che se i prigionieri fossero stati trattenuti, erano “MORTI”.Questo è successo mentre Israele ha ripreso le operazioni di terra nel centro e nel sud di Gaza, creando un cuscinetto parziale tra il nord e il sud dell’enclave – rompendo il cessate il fuoco concordato a gennaio, che è durato solo 58 giorni.
