This is a bit of a nonsensical comparison. #Iceland halted negotiations, #Britain left full membership. Icelandic people had legitimate concern about their fisheries, the Brits just decided to believe the pile of sh*te they were being told. And as #ReformUK is doing so well in the polls it looks like they are still very happy to believe the same pile sh*te still.
Furthermore the #EU is not going to be so easily swayed with the #UK, just in case they do a U-Turn in 5 years thence.
