  1. "What I didn't expect was how difficult it would be. I relate it somewhat to the feeling I have with working out. Often times I want to avoid it because it's hard, but I'm always happy when I push through and complete it."

Emptying the mind isn’t about loss.
    It’s about making space.

    When expectations fall away,
    new possibilities reveal themselves.

  4. #Buddhism and #QuantumPhysics both challenge classical views of independent, permanent entities. #Buddhist notions like #DependentOrigination and #emptiness hold that phenomena lack inherent essence and exist only relationally. #QM shows #reality as probabilistic & context-dependent, w properties emerging through interaction. Though methodologically distinct, both unsettle substance-based #ontologies and stress the relational nature of existence.

  9. @wilsonhurley , thank you for sharing however, there is a technical meaning, but it’s been flattened into a cryptic slogan. The real idea: “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.” The meme version (“two sides of the coin”) turns it into a shallow dualism, as if and were just opposites to flip between. The original warns against that — they’re not separate.

  10. #Zen #Buddhism's concept of #tathatā or #suchness expresses reality as it is — free from conceptual overlay. Interwoven with #emptiness (#śūnyatā), #DependentOrigination, and #interpenetration, suchness is not transcendence but direct, embodied encounter. This non-dual insight is central to #Mahāyāna thought.

  15. #Huayan #Buddhism advances #Nāgārjuna’s insight on #emptiness (#sunyata) by articulating the doctrine of #interpenetration: all phenomena mutually contain and reflect each other, as in Indra’s Net. This vision of radical relationality redefines reality as a seamless web, with profound ethical and philosophical implications. I put together key aspects of this doctrine and its reception in the Buddhist tradition in my latest post:

  16. #Nāgārjuna's #Madhyamaka #philosophy articulates #śūnyatā (#emptiness) and the two truths, dismantling the notion of intrinsic essence and affirming the interdependent, provisional nature of all phenomena. This insight avoids both #nihilism and #essentialism, shaping #Mahāyāna and #Zen thought. In this post, I summed up the key aspects of this profound teaching and its implications for #Buddhist practice:

  17. #Nāgārjuna, founder of the #Madhyamaka school, clarified the Buddhist doctrine of #emptiness (#śūnyatā) as the absence of intrinsic essence in all phenomena. His dialectical method deconstructs fixed views, reinforcing #DependentOrigination and non-self (#anatta) as central to liberation in #Mahayana thought.
