#frustration — Public Fediverse posts

I have a frustration that just keeps coming back and tbh I don't know how to deal with it without sounding to "political".

Since last Friday I've been on vacation park(resort) together with my partner and their family, where there a lot of different things to do on the park itself (like swimming climbing, gaming etc)

In that context my partner and I planned to go to the swimming pool with wellnes areas facilities with his younger nieces so we could have fun this weekend only to find out that people were looking at me like I didn't belong there.

It started with trying to get into the facilities where I've found out that the dressingcabins where gendered while the design of it was very unisex (baby changing station in every stall).
In that confusion it was hard for me to choose wich stall to use without people looking at me that I was invading their space.

Sadly it didn't stop there.

Most of the time that I've spend there on the swimming area I've felt like a exotic zoo animal on display,
in that way I feel like my existence is already a political statement for those people.

Sometimes I wish I was as invisible as a cis person.
