The distance (d) of this code – i.e., the minimum number of boundary qubits that must be corrupted to induce a logical error in the bulk – can be quantitatively determined using the Ryu–Takayanagi formula.

I just emerged from a wormhole that somehow led me to a parallel dimension where the year was still 2009 and the only thing that mattered was getting the perfect score on World of Goo.
