Disappointment:
I just picked up a new unopened 500g jar of hazelnut spread out of the cupboard and the screw top came off in my hand. The jar landed on the floor and completely shattered into more tiny fragments than I've ever seen in my life.
So after cleaning up the mess it was back to the open jar of peanut butter. Thankfully I wasn't hurt by the flying glass.
I was really looking forward to the hazelnut spread.

I've just discovered that there's a Black Library app.
Between the app and the fact that there's only free extracts and no purchase options on BlackLibrary.com then I guess that means that there's now ZERO chance of them ever doing a Humble Bundle again 🙄
(And I'm not buying from the app because a) my Kindle won't support it, b) reading on a phone is a shit-awful experience, c) I'm not buying an Android tablet just to read some ebooks and d) reading on a tablet rather than an e-ink device is ALSO a shit-awful experience)

Feeling bläh²
I thought that "just" feeling bläh was bad enough. It's not as bad as being fully depressed. But it's like you don't have any energy to deal with the days. You know you "have" to do things. You know you want to do things. And then... It's just too hard to actually do any bring, because there's no joy from them. There's no feeling of accomplishment. There is pain, emptiness, sadness, loneliness... But it's not a "real" depression. I can still get up when Koa is ready to start our "day". I still manage to do most of the chores. I am struggling with food now, starting to eat too much again, while exercising way too little. But I fear that I am close to really falling back into the dark hole 🕳️ again... ...and some feelings of shame and remorse... I have been struggling, I am struggling, and I feel I'm heading into a darker area, which scares me at times... I don't want to fall too much backwards, and end up dropping into a big, dark, hole 🕳️ again. I am not strong enough to deal with depression right now. I don't know if I am there yet... There are plenty of signs of depression, at the moment I write this. But, it could also be another autistic burnout... HOT SAUCE APOCALYPSE
Yesterday the lunch place had run out of hot sauce.
In Australia, this is barely news.
Aussies don’t really do hot sauce.
But some of us do.
Some of us have built whole fragile emotional ecosystems around a few drops of chilli on lunch.
I agreed to sweet chilli sauce instead, because apparently I am very mature.
But I did register my disappointment with the manageress.
Politely.
Firmly.
Historically.
Then I went for my walk.
Then I did my breathwork.
Then I noticed the day still had a slight dent in it.
This caught me off guard.
I had only just been saying that everything is perfect all the time now.
Apparently, “everything” includes the lunch place running out of hot sauce and me quietly wanting the owner told so this national disgrace never happens again.
That is how the ego works.
It does not just want lunch.
It wants justice.
And there it was.
Not a catastrophe.
Not a spiritual failure.
Just a tiny place where preference had turned into grievance.
The hot sauce was missing.
The peace was not.
I had simply misplaced it for a moment under the sweet chilli sauce.

I guess it's goodbye to another favorite hangout; Black Snake Brewing in Staatsburg New York. It was a great place to enjoy a beer and relax out in the country. I knew the property was for sale.
