Newest piece of gear: A 1960's East German #refractometer. The wrench for the calibration screw is missing (1.3 mm square key) and the union nut for the thermometer is a bit loose (M16 x 0.75 ?).
Unfortunately Google turns up nothing in regards to spare parts, or even parts that could be simply converted without special tools I don't have.
Using a pair of tweezers for calibration and lots of teflon tape on the thread works, though :)

Then we played #Diablo 3 on Switch together (Couch Co-Op❤️), then I made a damn good #TexMex mince pie with zucchini, black eyed peas and bellpepper... and we split a little bag of sour gummies for our weekend watch of #DareDevil : Born Again. -

So... I ended up spending the hours around midnight all the way until 09:00 in the ER for my allergy.
I got #antihistamines IV which... is a first.
It sucked, but the people in the hospital were nice and now I feel very good and my symptoms aren't even 20% of what I experienced the day before. Got a five day prescription to run through here in the next coming days... What an adventure. Glad it's over

Apparently, someone crammed 69666 characters of Unifont 13.0.06 into BDF for u8g2 #font generation, so BDF evidently doesn't have that limit either, and upstream Unifont doesn't do this. Also, because of FontForge limits crashing when importing a lot of glyphs, evidently the BDF is custom on the u8g2 Github, but the problem is that it hasn't been updated to Unifont 15, so while Plane 1 is reduced two versions, Plane 0 is upgraded two versions, without going over 65535, ensuring better BDF compatibility, especially when doing low-level stuff (evidently not needed here). Then again, Minecraft uses .hex files in 1.20 to get around non-HarfBuzz TrueType limits. Also I can't run Unifont compilation utilities on any machine I've tried, so I'm stuck with what I've got.Sometimes it's okay to be proud of what you've got.
I mean, it will work better on the older Linux builds its intended for, and it is actually generatable without crashes in FontForge, or forcing inflexible code to compile, or using the abridged Bits'N'Picas, which hates the BDF enough to not want to make a .hex.
Compatibility is key, folx.

Wrapping up my #Valentines
My partner is from #Cascais and we both agreed not to make an extreme excursion for a dinner... so how do you impress someone who's lived around the same area most her life?
Well I chose a lane-switch and went with House of Wonders. A vegetarian restaurant that doesn't have a menu. You simply get to see the dishes as they are served and you point at what you want... and they update regularly!
I had "Humshukah", a Shakshukah served on top of hummus. @dotmargui had a vegetarian Tom Yam (Thai style soup). Then she had a nice unique brownie and I had a coconut..pudding(?).. It was delicious!
And before we got home we took a walk and then shared a Chai at Honest Greens.
