In the middle of process of cleaning rust from my new old case for another Intel Atom based home server. WD-40 and sandpaper do their job :drgn_wrench:
This case was cheap enough for second hand thing from some wet office (or warehouse) but requires some work. At least it didn't cost for 100500 roubles like some "gaming" cases or "skeleton cases" (basically just a T-shaped open panel with a bed for motherboard. EMI? Lol, it is "legacy" and "outdated"/s :drgn_sigh: )

While I did order a new oooold stock ink ribbon cartridge for my printer, I decided to try the WD-40 trick to revive an old ribbon.
Verdict: it mostly works!

Well, at least it's not Fish(or Snake) Oil:
Myth: WD-40 Multi-Use Product contains fish oil.
Fact: “Consumers have told us over the years that they have caught some of the biggest fish ever after protecting their fishhooks and lures with WD-40 Multi-Use Product. We believe this legend came from folks assuming that the product must contain fish oil, since it appears to attract fish. Sorry, Charlie®, it just ain’t so.”

Typewriter Tools Upgrade
I've been wrenching on enough typewriters, that it was time to up my game again and add some new typewriter tools to the proverbial tool bag. In fact it was also time for an actual tool bag! It’s been maybe a decade between my purchases of WD40.
And in that time they’ve improved the formula by 45 degrees.

For long years I'm using a #Logitech M570 Trackball. Now one of the switches didn't work reliably any more.
Opening the device, cleaning inside with compressed air, a wet towel and putting a small drop of #WD40 on the switches fixed it. Took me < 15 mins.
Works now very precisely again, no need to buy something new. #repair -
It's so frustrating that all of my axel bolts are stuck on my left boot of my #skates.
From factory it was also crazy tight after doing about 30km skating. I rotate the wheels and #skate another 30 or 40k. Axels frozen.
I sprayed PB Blaster and waited 15 minutes. I tried again and broke the hex wrench!
I sprayed #WD40 now and will leave it over night. I'm turning left on the left boot... Lefty loosy.
Any tip or expansion as to why this happens would be awesome.
