  5. Testing something else (reusing the small matrix I made as proof of concept for the bigger one).
    It's nothing original, but it looks nice. ;)

    And it will probably be better with thinner acrylic sheet and better led placement.
    I guess I have to make a pcb and order some 2mm acrylic sheets :)

  18. Inspired by my last #WS2812B #PCB, I decided to do a smaller version and try to add a USB C connector. I'm very pleased how it turned out. The LEDs are not as close to each other as last time, but I still used my hot plate to solder them. And hot air for the back side.

  23. Here are the boards! I soldered a first one by hand, but the #WS2812B #LEDs are very close to each other. So some have burn marks. Hot air is no option, it would burn them up. So, I bought a hot plate and tried again. It's so much faster and easier! And it worked directly after #soldering.
    I only need better solder paste, this one was difficult to clean.

    Il tutto funziona con un #ESP32 con sopra installato #WLED e una striscia #led #WS2812b e un semplice programma multipiattaforma chiamato Hyperion che si occupa di catturare l'immagine a schermo e trasferirla a WLED. Trovate le guide per entrambi ovunque nel web

    Близится Новый год, а гирлянда на ёлку не готова. В комоде уложена старая, её использовали уже пять раз и хочется чего-то нового. Предлагаю сделать свою, на популярной плате STM32 BluePIll в связке с адресными светодиодами. Это история с открытым концом. Если читателю идея покажется интересной, будет прошивка на git с реализацией интересных задумок; в противном случае, придётся купить готовую на маркетплейсе. Но мы же этого не допустим? Предложить идею
