This a databending job with vertical bars of inverted colors added in GIMP, inspired by a GIF image I saw of a DOS virus that basically causes the command prompt to glitch out and draw vertical bars across the screen.

Just an animation I made in GIMP. IIRC I got the continuous melting effect by repeatedly applying the Wind filter and rotating between three different constant seeds (used to randomize the filter).
