You too can repair your household electronics, and help keep them out of landfill!(Toaster stopped working, all it needed were two joints redone!)

Anyone knows whether RGB strips such as this one can be cut in length? I'm not sure how these work exactly, only that it should be doable. This isn't specifically made for cutting, but… well, I want to (so it fits nicely).
The input is a PC RGB 3-pin header (5V, Data, GND), so some kind of data gets encoded… I can only assume those "C[1..3] pads somehow define the length of it. So my wild assumption would be that moving C3 to C2 and cutting behind L20 works…?

Posting this to make the soldering people scream. I suppose I should fix these poor solder joints. #soldering #turntablerepair #turntable #repair

It's been almost a year, and the only thing we've managed to finish is a Merzbow box. I still can't find the perfect candies to make a shell for my guitar pedal. It's supposed to be a Death By Audio Interstellar Overdriver... 😵💫

There is no correlation between the two unless you make a circuit with both systems involved
You should also state which type of jammer you are referring to. You are in the realm of transmitters. Amplifiers components are just as is stated, components

Going back to the basics is important especially when we talk about Electronics.
On this page amplifiers are highlighted and explained in a clear and consistent manner
>An amplifier is an electronic device or circuit which is used to increase the magnitude of the signal applied to its input with the increase between its output and input being called Gain
An Introduction to Different Types of Amplifier>Amplifier is the generic term used to describe a circuit which produces and increased version of its input signal. However as we will see in this introduction to the amplifier tutorial, not all amplifier circuits are the same as they are classified according to their circuit configurations and modes of operation.
>In “Electronics”, small signal amplifiers are commonly used devices as they have the ability to amplify a relatively small input signal. For example from a Sensor such as a photo-device, into a much larger output signal to drive a relay, lamp or loudspeaker for example.

As part of our electronics workshop, participants can turn leftover electronic components into creative tiny creatures. This little wizard even got a staff with a working lantern.

Does anyone have an electronics repair shop they recommend, specifically for soldering work? I broke a shoulder button on my SteamDeck and I've tried to repair it myself but I certainly lack the skill and maybe the dexterity to get it done. I'm afraid to keep going and do more damage to it.
I'd love to pay someone local to give it a shot if anyone has recommendations. Ideally in #SouthJersey or #Philadelphia.

Some impressions from our last hands-on soldering workshop.
We do not run this workshop regularly, but a new date is planned for fall, including some special Halloween soldering kits. Stay tuned for updates.
