Wkraczamy w erę „agentycznego Gemini”, w której Android przekształca się z systemu operacyjnego w zaawansowany system inteligencji, potrafiący zamieniać nasze intencje w konkretne działania.
Podczas dzisiejszego wydarzenia Google pokazało, że ta transformacja dotknie niemal każdego aspektu naszej cyfrowej codzienności.
Chrome z modelem Gemini 3.1: przeglądarka zaczyna działać za ciebie
Mobilny Chrome na Androida przechodzi największą metamorfozę w swojej historii dzięki integracji modelu Gemini 3.1. Przeglądarka przestaje być tylko oknem na świat, a staje się osobistym asystentem, który rozumie treść przeglądanych stron.
Największą nowością jest funkcja auto browse, czyli agentyczne przeglądanie sieci. Chrome potrafi teraz samodzielnie wykonywać żmudne zadania:
- Automatyczne rezerwacje: na podstawie szczegółów wydarzenia z twojego biletu, Chrome może samodzielnie znaleźć i zarezerwować miejsce parkingowe przez SpotHero (niestety, dla nas to ciekawostka, SpotHero nie funkcjonuje w Polsce).
- Zarządzanie zamówieniami: przeglądarka może na twoją prośbę zaktualizować cykliczne zamówienie w sklepie (np. na karmę dla psa), oszczędzając użytkownikowi ręcznego klikania przez formularze.
- Nano Banana: pozwala błyskawicznie tworzyć personalizowane grafiki bezpośrednio w przeglądarce. Możesz poprosić o zamianę ściany tekstu na czytelną infografikę lub poprosić AI o „umeblowanie” pustego pokoju na zdjęciu z ogłoszenia o wynajmie mieszkania.
Google podkreśla, że system zachowuje przy tym pełne bezpieczeństwo, chroniąc przed atakami typu „prompt injection” i każdorazowo prosząc o potwierdzenie przed wykonaniem wrażliwej operacji, takiej jak zakup czy publikacja w social mediach.
Pause Point: 10 sekund na walkę z cyfrowym autopilotem
Google wypowiada wojnę bezmyślnemu przewijaniu mediów społecznościowych. Funkcja Pause Point to rozwiązanie dla tych, którym nie wystarczają zwykłe liczniki czasu aplikacji, bo zbyt łatwo je zignorować. Gdy spróbujesz otworzyć aplikację, którą system uzna za „rozpraszającą”, Pause Point wymusi 10-sekundową przerwę. W tym czasie możesz wykonać krótkie ćwiczenie oddechowe lub zobaczyć zdjęcia swoich bliskich, co ma na celu wyrwanie Cię z trybu „autopilota”.
Najciekawszy jest jednak mechanizm obronny: aby całkowicie wyłączyć tę funkcję w chwili słabości, system będzie wymagał od użytkownika… restartu telefonu. To celowa bariera, która ma zachęcać do bardziej świadomego korzystania z urządzenia.
Noto 3D: emoji, które w końcu mają wagę
Ostatnim elementem nowej układanki jest kolekcja Noto 3D. Google zauważyło, że nasze cyfrowe emocje często wydają się „płaskie”. Nowe, trójwymiarowe emoji mają nadać komunikacji nutę fizyczności, sprawiając, że zamiast tylko „odebrać wiadomość”, poczujemy czyjąś obecność (tak to przynajmniej tłumaczą przedstawiciele Google). Kolekcja pojawi się najpierw na telefonach Pixel jeszcze w tym roku.
Czekamy na okulary
Kończąc dzisiejszy pokaz, Sameer Samat zapowiedział, że to nie koniec nowości na ten rok. Już w przyszłym tygodniu podczas głównej konferencji I/O zobaczymy jeszcze więcej aktualizacji, w tym długo wyczekiwany „sneak peek” nadchodzących inteligentnych okularów Google, które mają zadebiutować pod koniec 2026 roku.

This bit in particular has bugged my aesthetic and semiotic sensibilities a bit.To my way of thinking:
😋 - It is difficult for me to see this as anything other than an expression of enthusiasm for food. In contrast:
:p or :P - I imagine these as an off-center pet "blep" or "poo brain" face (see attachments). In my mind this represents concepts like "my thinking is a bit misguided here" or "I'm a silly little guy". Similar to how I use🙃. But:

Not that anyone cares, but I developed and shipped my La Jolla, CA company Coconut Computing's COCONET software in 1988, with what I called "Emoticons" but were, in hindsight, very early #emoji. Even included an #Emoticon Picker that let you select which one to insert into your message. That alone would be worth billions in patent income for years afterwards to some company that didn't know about my prior art. (Or maybe they did?) Had only *I* known! :-/
