I love #Slimbook, #Tuxedo and also #Starlabs! #System76 sell great machines, but importing one would mean a 21% VAT price surcharge.
Currently still very happy with my #Thinkpad #T14 (Gen 1, AMD). At the time, ordering without an OS wasn't possible, so I settled for M$ Wind*ws, which I immediately replaced with #Fedora. From the ordering & payment procedure I got the impression that #Lenovo didn't really want to sell anything to me at all. Delivery took 8 weeks.

Thinkpads with #Fedora #linux are now supposed to be available from #Lenovo in various European countries. Apparently the Netherlands is - just like two years ago - not one of these: Searching for Fedora on the Dutch Lenovo website returns exactly *one* #laptop, but in its configuration options it says that it comes with M$ Wind*ws! Fedora isn't mentioned anywhere. Such a shame!

@tribaal #reportlab is the giant venerable library that seems like it can do just about anything when it comes to making PDF.
If you just want a quick doc though, it's APIs can be a learning curve (disclaimer: I maintain some code that uses it, but have not really dived into it in years.)
#weasyprint is fantastic if you're already used to HTML and CSS. It implements some CSS features before the browsers do!
If you need something not expressible as HTML/CSS, it might not work for you.

Don't confuse #Python #typeHints with the type declarations in other languages. They're potentially more flexible and expressive.
The best way to think of them is as machine-readable documentation. They tell you what the author expects, and automated tools can tell you when you step outside those expectations.
And things like `TypedDict` go beyond what other languages think of as "type". The author can say "this is a dict _and_ I assume it has these particular keys".

I installed #Fedora (with #Gnome and #Sway) on my new #Thinkpad ! (Alongside Wind*ws, which I do not use at all, but will keep around on a small partition, just in case). It will replace my antique #MacBookPro, running #Manjaro #i3, as my daily workhorse. Made an #apple pie 🥧 to celebrate. :fedora:
