  1. Slender youtubers, horror youtubers, gaming youtubers. The let's play youtubers are just fucking everywhere.

Come 2016 and boom ! It felt like everyone was online all at the same time. It was overwhelming honestly.

I mean I was just a 13 - 14 year old and around that time I was modding my Android phone and tablet. I didn't care much about youtube and other parts of the internet. I spent most of my time on XDA developers and forums.

  2. Recently unpacked an older favourite #MechanicalKeyboard of mine and using it since then: The rather flat #VortexGear #Race3 with #CherryMX #SilentRed switches and (#Massdrop × #Hasbro) #XDA #Scrabble #keycaps, designed by @cassidoo.

Oh, and while looking for the original product link, I just noticed that (Mass)Drop now seems to belong to #Corsair and really died completely 😢: "Starting our next chapter, #Drop will become a hub for our collaborations with truly exciting titles." 🙄

  7. There's an article on #XDA about staying with #X11 rather than using #Wayland for now.
"Despite the shiny new tech, X11 seems to be a more reliable option due to its compatibility with a variety of apps. It doesn’t break as often…" xda-developers.com/reasons-lin

  8. @codicia84 @Topecax

  9. Aviation weather for Dax Seyresse airport (France) is “LFBY 292200Z AUTO 10004KT 070V130 9999 // ////// 19/12 Q1016” : See what it means on bigorre.org/aero/meteo/lfby/en #dax #france #daxseyresseairport #lfby #xda #metar #aviation #aviationweather vl

  10. Thanks to the great people on #XDA #Forums my old and pretty much unusable #SamsungTablet #SMT295 is now running Android 14(with #noGAPPS of course) and it's usable again!
Clearly it is not lighting fast, but compared to the slow and blown stock software it looks like so.

  12. Time for the annual new #keycaps on my primary keyboard. #XDA profile with TTC “Bluish White” switches.

*sigh*

  15. I wish #Telegram was not the central point for like all #Android :android: Custom Rom development. Like #XDA is/was far from perfect and had it's own issue but at least it was a public searchable forum.

At least I can export these Telegram update rooms to #RSS :rss:
  16. So for the start I would like to find anything relevant.
Internet places, communities, tags, anything that would help me get closed to people who are interested in making their phones be more than just content consumption devices.

Also I dumped all of my knowledge on this topic into a post on #XDA
    forum.xda-developers.com/t/pho
Maybe someone can find something useful or interesting in there.

  17. values my and wants to share my with 1498 partners. Not even an opt-out option.

    ?

  18. Since my ADHD mind is STILL hyper focused on alt keyboard layouts, I busted out my only set of keycaps to do a layout.

I think it turned out pretty neat.

  19. By the way, this is the XDA Keycap embossment with laser machine, 50 watt fiber machine.

This keycap embossment consists of 3 passes of laser, with 15% strength. It looks way better on hand. 20% burns the plastic. I may try maybe 17% with my friend for the next time. We used all the keycaps.

The machine was was offline though, so the coolest figure I could come up with was from the wingdings font 😆

  21. Tagged a new release of my unofficial client for XDA Developers, ReLabs.

    Changelog : v0.0.3 (4)
    • Show shimmer animation while loading where possible
    • Translation updates
    • UI and UX improvements

    #Xda #WindowsMobile #WindowsPhone #CanDo

  24. The minds behind NotebookLM just launched their first tool since leaving Google, and it already feels like a hit – xda-developers.com

By Mahnoor Faisal, Published 9 hours ago

Mahnoor is a News Writer at XDA who has been in the professional writing game since her sophomore year of high school. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, she also has bylines esteemed publications like XDA’s sister site, MakeUseOfSlashGear, Laptop Mag, and Android Police.

Whether she’s spending hours debugging code or staying up all night to watch a tech event, Mahnoor’s passion for technology is undeniable. She loves writing about all things tech, with a particular focus on iOS and macOS.

While many are familiar with Google’s AI-powered research assistant, NotebookLM, thanks to its viral features like Audio Overviews and Mind Maps, not many know about the people who made the tool possible. If you fall into that group, let me give you a quick rundown.

NotebookLM was launched as an experimental Google Labs project under the code name “Project Tailwind” in 2023, and the team behind it included Raiza Martin as the product lead, Jason Spielman as the design lead, and Stephen Hughes as a software engineer. Despite the viral success of the tool, the three ended up leaving Google in December 2024 to launch their own startup, Huxe.

The reason I brought all this up is because the startup just dropped its very first product, and one thing’s for certain: the minds behind NotebookLM just launched their first tool since leaving Google, and it already feels like a hit.

Huxe is now available to download on the App Store and Play Store, and it’s completely free

Today, the team behind NotebookLM launched their first product, which carries the same name as their startup: Huxe. Huxe is an AI-powered personalized audio service built on the same core idea as NotebookLM. It’s designed to help users cut down the amount of time they spend scrolling on a screen, and it aims to achieve that by creating an AI that’s made just for you. And the way Huxe is doing that is through the incredible (and unique) features it offers. The flagship feature of Huxe is Daily Briefings, which, similar to NotebookLM’s iconic Audio Overviews, creates a real-time podcast tailored to your schedule, inbox, and interests.

Huxe connects and securely accesses your calendar and email, and then uses them to create a personalized audio briefing. It’s designed to replace the time you spend in the morning scrolling through overnight emails, half-read newsletters, and your upcoming calendar events. Instead, you get a quick five-minute rundown that tells you exactly what matters that day. When you first download Huxe and create an account, you’ll be asked to select a couple of your interests. Huxe then uses those preferences to personalize your Daily Briefings even further by including relevant news, updates, and insights tied to the topics you care about most.
