  1. Em artigo, Monica Perego sustenta que organizações precisam comprovar a alfabetização em IA e integrá-la à proteção de dados. A fiscalização do dever previsto no AI Act começa em 2 de agosto de 2026. (IT)

  2. Say a platform has the typical "add someone to the team" feature. Say Alice puts in Bob's email so he becomes part of the team and Bob gets the invitation via email.

Would the platform be breaching GDPR by collecting Bob's email without Bob's consent? Or is that considered legitimate use?

I'm thinking of the case where there is a breach in the platform, and Bob, who never accepted the invitation, wonders why his email is in the breach.

  7. Shared server misconfigurations can cost US businesses millions in CCPA & GDPR penalties.

Multi-tenant cloud & shared hosting expose you to:
    ❌ Cross-tenant leaks ("Noisy Neighbors")
    ❌ Shared IP blacklisting
❌ Lack of root-level security control

Bare metal dedicated servers provide 100% physical data isolation, strict datacenter control, and audit-ready logging to keep your infrastructure compliant.

  8. Ok currently testing #Wsocial. To me it serves a different purpose to #Mastodon. Personally I will use it specifically to interact with #EU officials and follow what’s going on at legislative level. Perhaps I shall put forward my two pennies worth.

  9. The Sovereign Auditor articles page just got dragged into the 21st century: searchable tags, instant title/excerpt filtering, no more scrolling past 50 headlines to find the one you half-remember.
No third-party search widget, no analytics call, no dependency added, just vanilla JS reading the page you're already looking at. Consistent with the rest of this operation: if it can run client-side with nothing phoning home, it does.

"The CLOUD Act primarily amends the Stored Communications Act (SCA) of 1986 to allow federal law enforcement to compel U.S.-based technology companies via warrant or subpoena to provide requested data stored on servers regardless of whether the data are stored in the U.S. or on foreign soil."

  14. Many workers in the UK will have had to sit through very dry #GDPR data handling training courses.

I really hope this case of a #Serco employee circulating the details of #AsylumSeekers addresses in #Thetford leading to three nights of mob violence becomes a case study that gets a lot of attention.

  19. A reminder that using those abominable (and soon to be slop machine "enhanced") creep glasses by Meta & Co. will fall within the GDPR's scope in many scenarios. Responsibility and accountability lie with the user, not just with the company.

So if someone you know uses those glasses on you, hit them with a GDPR complaint (not literally, of course - I condemn physical violence even when people did a lot to warrant its use).

  20. The state's own fix, ANSSI's coordinated roadmap, didn't land until April and doesn't fully close until Feb 2028. Even ProConnect, the govt's own login layer, is still running on an email-OTP stopgap while identity providers catch up.

  21. Yet another illegal request via #Upwork Another 'record the shopping journey' from store entrance, asking questions, purchase (for alcoholic drinks - it's usually this or cars).

This is so illegal under the #GDPR and other privacy rules, if not even applicable commercial laws - you'd be recording other people's likeness and their biometric voice data without their permission, and not give them a way to request/amend/delete that data.

Yes, private people get away with it for their tiktoks, but no way am I going to risk my freelance business for that!
