As someone who is painfully aware of the gaps in available data across the US Census, EEO reports, and Federal hate crime statistics, esp. for persons of MENA descent, I believe the current EEOC proposal to end workforce reporting is a step in the wrong direction.
There is a short period of time available for the public to submit comments on the record. Comments don't need to be long or legal. A few honest sentences about why it matters are enough.

For pay that, where I live, wouldn't even reach minimum wage. But of course it was dressed up as "freelance contracting," because apparently exploitation sounds fancier if you invoice for it.
No.
I'm not helping build the machine that's already taking work away from translators while paying translators less than they deserve to teach it.
I'd genuinely rather earn nothing than spend my time feeding your slop machine.Hard pass.
