If it has an OK(ish) board, not too much gaffertape, not too many coffee/tea/wine stains, not too sunbleached, you know the sort - I will buy it.Your great-grandmother made a bag? Yes please. The box is only just held together and all the corners are split open? YES, I can guarantee it will be remade with all the acidfree care I possess. But ALL the A and I tiles are gone? Oh bugger, sorry, I need one of each, at least. Nice board, but plastic tiles? hmmm could you accidentally lose the tiles? Ta.

I just found out that within the #German tax code there is a law called Rentenbeziehende-Energiepreispauschalengesetz ("Law on the payment of lump-sum energy price allowances for pensioners"). Which could, grammatically correct, also be written as Rentenbeziehendenenergiepreispauschalengesetz. In unrelated news, we Germans are always very sad when people from other countries refuse to play #Scrabble with us.

Równiutko 20 lat temu brałem udział w ostatnim swoim turnieju Scrabble - w mistrzostwach Krakowa. I nawet przywiozłem z niego nagrodę książkową - wybierał każdy co chciał, w kolejności zajętego miejsca. Ja miałem miejsce 60 na 97 uczestników, więc została mi książka "Geny a charakter", którą mam zresztą do dziś. Może ją sobie wreszcie poczytam?

Looked hard at our two letter word list. It has 'ch' on it. I did not know why. Turned to that page and found the definition 'chain' (the surveyor's measure).
Well! if obscure measures are in the dictionary, then what about the commoner ones?
Added 'km', 'kg' and 'kn', all in a mad rush, then the quite peculiar 'kp' - kilopond.
