So glad I never got into this stupid hobby.

I was into modding my tablet and phone with CyanogenMod 10 years ago as a mere 14 year old, lol. CWM was losing popularity and TWRP was becoming popular. Magisk was not yet a thing back then

It was all fun until the CMod team chose the other path on that "fork in the road." I wonder where the cyanogen people are now...

After upgrading my #Pixel6a from #LineageOS 23 to LineageOS 23.2, I am unable to obtain #root using the usual method via #Magisk. It results in trying to boot to fall back to fastboot mode.

I am thinking of downgrading to LineageOS 23, but that will involve losing the data partition and thus having to reconfigure the whole device.

Any ideas are welcome about how to overcome this issue. 🙏

Che poi di fatto al momento mi rileva il root non l'integrità, eppure magisk è installato con un nome diverso e c'è l'offuscamento attivo sulle app 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ #boostme

Cholera jasna, Gógiel znowu coś nazmieniał w wykrywaniu zrootowanych telefonów i mimo rozmaitych kombinacji z modułami Magisk, dzięki którym checker pokazuje, że telefon przechodzi wszystkie testy, Portfel Google odmawia działania.

For the first time in many years I have not rooted my new phone.

It feels a little strange, especially considering I was quite involved in the development of #Magisk a few years ago. And I was also a forum moderator on #XDADevelopers.

Haven't been active in that community in some time, but it still feels like the end of something. Maybe a hint of sorrow, maybe relief?

Oh well... Don't need it anymore and if I ever do I have a bunch of knowledge and expertise to fall back on.

Does anyone know how to bring back the LSPosed notification to reopen the app? I disabled the notification and removed the shortcut and now I don't know how to get it back. I'm on a tablet so I don't have access to the dialer.

L'installation de LineageOS s'est bien passée, c'était plus simple que prévu. #RTFM.

En revanche, j'ai eu des galères avec l'app de ma banque (Crédit Mutuel), qui ne fonctionne pas sur les appareils rootés. Après avoir exploré le forum #xda et Reddit, j'ai découvert #Magisk. Après une réinstallation complète de LineageOS, l'ajout des "Google Play Services" via #NikGapps Core et de Magisk, tout fonctionne avec le strict minimum de Google.

So, I've flashed #CRDroid version 7.39 with #Android 11.
You can find flashing instructions around the internet. I rather give you a bunch of useful links for you to not search and download something random.

We need #Odin to flash something because Samsung's download mode isn't compatible with Fastboot and only operable via their program.
I've used #Odin3 v3.14 which my friend gave to me. Probably you can download it here but I'm not sure:

KernelSU

KernelSU is a Kernel based root solution for Android devices. It features kernel-based su and root access management as well as a Module system based on overlayfs (similar to Magisk). KernelSU works whitelist-based: Only App that is granted root permission can access su, other apps cannot perceive su.

took quite some effort, since there's only a (slightly outdated) unofficial version of LineageOS available

- downgraded the #firmware to 'G986BXXSFFVIB' (the last version for Android 12)

- did *not* install #Opengapps, #MindTheGapps, or even #microG, to see if we can manage without the Google Play Shop/Services

Ja, ich weiß, dass man CA-Zertifikate in den Einstellungen von #Android deaktivieren und auch mittels eines #Magisk-Plugins eigene hinzufügen kann. Das ist aber beim nächsten #Flashen wieder weg.
