One nice thing with using both 4x5 and half frame is thar I'm pretty comfortable cropping the heck out of negatives if only part of the image is any good. This is from a sheet of #Foma100 I massively over exposed, but the ducks looked good so... ✂️ The negative area is still the size of a 120 neg.

I might retake some of these. The pickles and the ducks need a shade more DoF. I like the ducks, but I didn't get it straight on either, I'd also want to dodge out the left hand angular shadow to deepen it a bit.

Pleased with the results from my second jaunt with the 4x5. I tried scanning negs in the print file sleeve, which appears to have improved the focus on the scanner as I'm not able to use a negative carrier. I also had to scan each in two strips (V600 is designed only for 135 and 120 negs) and join them in Affinity Photo. Upside: focus improved. Downside: the sleeves themselves attract a *lot* of dust. The attached have been converted down for Mastodon...they don't do justice to the resolution these have. Full size scans are 15700 × 12500.
The truck picture was a pleasant surprise, it is one of the pictures I forgot to stop down after focusing…I metered a 3 sec exposure at f/22 but fired it at f/4.7 🤦🏻♂️ But, the fact that I overexposed by *counts on fingers* SIX STOPS and still got a decent image shows how flexible film is - although perhaps reciprocity failure saved me a bit as well?
I've got another 16-17 sheets of cheap film left to get a little better at this, after that I have a small box of #IlfordFP4 and a small box of #TriX I'm really excited to try.

I messed up this one badly, if you saw the neg you'd barely be able to tell there's an image. The scan is so flat and ove exposed you can see the LEDs in the panel.
Still has a vibe though. Would have been so good if I'd got it right.

I chronically over exposed this shot, my 7th #largeformatphotography , by accidentally placing my shadows +2, so that's atleast 4 stops. I need to try shooting this with a green filter to try and get the red type on the signage to pop (it's the main reason I'm obsessed with this taking this picture).

My first 4 #largeformatphotography images! Got some dirt on one of the negs. The SP tank will take some getting used to.
Played with some tilt and shift on a couple of these. Using shift to get rid of the camera reflection in the second shot feels a bit like witchcraft! -
