@Oculuris The long-term answer is a national law like California's "extended product responsibility laws." That state law was based on RoHS and WEEE directives in the European Union implemented in 2004. It would be a relatively minor change for CA to cover all vaping products with their existing laws. Enacting RoHS/WEEE law for the entire US will be difficult.

@heiseonline das braucht man nicht zu prüfen – die Einweg-Zigaretten lassen sich nicht recyceln. Unter anderem deswegen sollen sie ja verboten werden.

Durch die verbauten Lithium-Akkus sind die Zigaretten auch nach der Benutzung noch brandgefährlich (Wortspiel beabsichtigt). Und selbst bei korrekter Trennung von anderen Abfällen (was bei derart mülltonnen-gängigen Geräten eh schon sehr unwahrscheinlich ist) gibt es derzeit keine funktionierenden Recyclingprozesse.
