🛑 Debian 11 „Bullseye” a ajuns la sfârșitul duratei de viață (EOL) și nu mai primește suport oficial!

Publicația Linuxiac informează că versiunea Debian 11 „Bullseye” (lansată inițial în august 2021) a ajuns la finalul perioadei sale de suport Long-Term Support (LTS), ceea ce înseamnă că proiectul Debian a încetat furnizarea actualizărilor de securitate și a remedierilor de erori pentru această distribuție.

✨ Punctele cheie ale acestei tranziții:

⚠️ Fără actualizări de securitate:
• Echipa de securitate Debian și echipa LTS nu mai produc pachete de securitate pentru Debian 11, expunând sistemele care continuă să o ruleze la posibile vulnerabilități (CVE-uri) necorectate.

🔄 Recomandare de upgrade:
• Administratorii de sistem și utilizatorii sunt îndemnați insistent să facă trecerea la o versiune suportată — Debian 12 „Bookworm” (care beneficiază de suport LTS activ) sau Debian 13 „Trixie”.

🌐 Opțiunea Freexian ELTS (Extended LTS):
• Pentru organizațiile care nu pot efectua un upgrade imediat, singura opțiune de a continua să primească patch-uri de securitate critice este serviciul comercial terț Extended LTS (ELTS) oferit de compania Freexian.

Updates to policy regarding Launchpad PPA distribution method

We have updated the policy regarding the distribution method of the Launchpad PPA packages for our applications, after careful consideration. This policy change is necessary to ensure that users are more aware about our support policy for end-of-life (EOL) versions of Ubuntu, where we don’t provide support for those versions.

Starting from today, Ubuntu users who are using EOL versions of Ubuntu and plan to install our applications with the official Aptivi PPAs will no longer be able to install them to their Ubuntu systems. We have deleted the packages that pertain to EOL versions of Ubuntu to increase awareness of our support policy.

We don’t provide official support for our applications that are running on end-of-life Ubuntu versions, according to our policy as mentioned in the support policy page in our docs.
