Yesterday was International E‑Waste Day! It was also the end of Life for Windows 10, rendering millions of PCs seemingly obsolete. Yet, the hardware isn't outdated. The problem is purely related to Microsoft's hunt for profits. Let's make sure that people know that there are open‑source alternatives, like Linux and BSD, that allow these systems to show their true potential

Der heutige #InternationalEWasteDay des #WEEE-Forums ist doch ein sehr guter Grund einmal in Schubladen, in Kellern und auf Dachböden nachzuschauen, ob dort nicht mehr genutzte Laptops, Tablets oder Smartphones lagern. Wenn sie unseren Mindestkriterien für Sachspenden entsprechen (https://computertruhe.de/spenden/sachspenden/#was-wir-allgemein-benoetigen), würden wir uns natürlich sehr darüber freuen. 😉 Ansonsten sollten die Geräte fachgerecht entsorgt und dem Recycling zugeführt werden.
