  1. As I’ve been away all week, I hadn’t clocked that #Farage had held a #Reform rally in Wymondham, #Norfolk on Tuesday stirring up anti-Pride sentiment:

Glad to say there was still a friendly but not heavy handed police presence.

  10. #Norfolk County Council has visited First Bus's Great Yarmouth depot to see a £13.8 million investment aimed at improving local bus services. The project includes 10 new electric double-deck #buses and new charging infrastructure, funded through an £8.9 million contribution from First Bus and support from the council's Bus Service Improvement Plan. The buses mainly serve Service 8, linking Caister-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and the James Paget #University Hospital. Council and First Bus representatives said the investment will deliver quieter, more reliable journeys while supporting the transition to greener transport. The depot, which employs 156 people, also supports engineering apprentices, with the new charging facilities expected to open to commercial #EV operators through the First Charge network in the future.

  15. Reeds growing alongside a swampy ditch, somewhere in Norfolk, UK.

I'd love to explore the wetlands here; splashing in the watery ditches and sinking into the mud flats. It's quite public though, so probably not a suitable place for swamp larking.

Also I'd probably upset the local birds who definitely wouldn't be expecting a guy in wellies to squelch past their nests.

One of the joys of #Norfolk, like #Cornwall, is that it always a #destination never a place you pass through.

  21. Shameful but not surprising that #Norfolk has elected the first #Reform Police and Crime Commissioner.

Turnout was just 17%. I did vote despite being run off my feet yesterday with work, end of term assemblies and kid’s parties to arrange and attend.

But I suspect for a lot of people they had no idea there was an election happening.

Reform however clearly have galvanised their voters. We cannot be complacent about any election.
