A cheap #ESP32 U bare metal micro controller board can serve as a home web application server.

It can also be a home local cloud NAS Network Attached Storage) for anywhere from 32G to 2T of files/data. It only has WIFI 5. But it still works as a backup for your data 24/7. The read/write speed (400KB to 12MB/s) of a $2 cheap micro SD card reader is very slow.

@theoasisbbs This might sound silly, but I'm really hopeful that #Commodore might eventually make a new #microcomputer platform focusing on being intentionally simple. Perhaps a novel 16-bit architecture implemented in FPGA (or maybe something "truer" like ASIC!), designed to be relatively simple to program in a #lowlevel language. Sounds like a dream to me.

habe dann in der config den HDMI output aktiviert (normalerweise läuft er headless)
Danach bootet er wieder!?!??

I got curious how much power my MicroPython Sensornode was using and it sips power. Just under 100 mA peak.

So from left to right: SPS30 PM sensor, SCD40 CO2/temperature/humidity sensor, AHT20 + BMP280 sensor (both do humidity/temperature), Waveshare ESP32-C6-Pico and a KEWEISI KWS-1902C Type-C USB Tester UPM.

As previously mentioned, I managed to get my hands on another #Enterprise64 from the mid 80s. I disassembled it yesterday and made sure it was in working order. Nothing noteworthy, apart from cleaning it up and snipping a couple of mm's of the super thin wire tape for the keyboard, which is notorious for breaking. Also, a 1MB memory expansion was added, which is is insane for a system that was born with 64K. It's now technically an #Enterprise1088 :-)

Developed in the UK, it comes with IS-BASIC, a word processor, has 256 colors, stereo sound, runs CP/M and reads FAT floppy disks. Pretty cool for a 40 year old system, eh?

This is my third Enterprise machine. Currently two are working - my original (S/N 000828) which was gifted to me back when my dad started importing them, and this latest one (S/N 030490). The third one is unfortunately dead at the moment.
