Can anyone recommend a portable power station (which I would charge with solar panels) that is capable of running various 120V power tools? I have a Pecron LFP2000 which can run *some* tools, but can't handle the startup surge of my mitre saw, 8gal air compressor, or electric log splitter. If anybody has actually run tools like these on a power station I'd love to hear about it.
I'm considering the Anker C2000 v2 as they claim a 4000W surge capacity on it, but prefer not to spend $1000 to find out.

I finally managed to fix the remote access to our #Kostal inverter via #Tailscale to feed its data into #Homeassistant. Many hashtags, many potentials to break the chain.

We need to get away from the drill-and-burn caveman-type of energy generation. #NuclearPower simply preserves monopolists' control of the energy markets. The most sustainable way to generate power is locally and in a distributed way. Every industry and ever home needs to be 100% self sufficient, no power lines needed (except locally). Stop mining, ban drilling, and jack up costs of greenhouse gas emissions to regulate pollution out of business... Unfortunately, at least in the US, voters seem to be more concerned about migrants eating pets and children getting sex change surgery in schools than the worsening #ClimateBreakdown

We're now on our second #RenaultZoe and we love it. Currently waiting for survey for #SolarPV on our flat garage roof (house roof is too awkwardly shaped).
We will overprovision on #BatteryStorage because we are on the #OctopusGo tariff and can top it up cheaply overnight. Also, batteries are only VAT zero rated when bought with solar.
