@Oculuris The long-term answer is a national law like California's "extended product responsibility laws." That state law was based on RoHS and WEEE directives in the European Union implemented in 2004. It would be a relatively minor change for CA to cover all vaping products with their existing laws. Enacting RoHS/WEEE law for the entire US will be difficult.

@shroombab Ich finde es ja wirklich spannend, dass die #DSGVO da jetzt eine neue Gestaltungskraft entwickelt und potentiell problematische Services gleich gar nicht in der EU angeboten werden.
Finde ich super, weil Elektronik, die zu viel Blei und sonstige Giftstoffe enthält (#ROHS) wollen wir ja auch von Beginn an nicht in der EU haben, anstatt dann jedes Gerät im Nachhinein aufwändig einzeln prüfen und verbieten zu müssen. 👍

Bei Anleitung aus z.B. USA ist immer an #RoHS zu denken: in Europa ist #Blei im Lötzinn verboten. Deshalb muss man hier mit deutlich höheren Temperaturen löten als anderswo.
