Noniin, @david_bardos muistuttelikin jo ystävällisesti ja kyseli, että mites se muutosprojekti etenee, mistä alkuvuodesta (muistaakseni) puhuin.
No, muutoksia ja "muutoksia" tähän asti:
- Vaihdoin Windowsista Linuxiin
- Selaimen vaihdoin Vivaldiin sekä koneessa että luurissa
- Hakukoneeksi vaihdoin Ecosian
- Sähköpostin vaihdoin Gmailista Tutaan- Herkuttelua (sekä suolaisilla että makeilla) olen vähentänyt todella reilusti
- Kahvinjuontia olen vähentänyt kolmeen kuppiin päivässä aiemmasta 4-5 kupista. Olen alkanut juomaan sen sijaan vihreää teetä
- Punainen liha jää entistä vahvemmin ruokavaliosta pois ja kasvisproteiinit tulevat tilalle. Kasvispainotteisella ruokavaliolla olen yrittänyt olla jo muutaman vuoden, mutta nyt entistä enemmän
- Jossain vaiheessa laiskistuin ja aloin käyttämään hissiä. Nyt hylkäsin hissin ja aina kun mahdollista niin kuljen portaita. Sekä ylös että alas
- Someista minulla on puhelimessa kytketty kaikki ilmoitukset pois jo kauan sitten. Nyt poistelin kuvakkeet aloitusruudusta ja jätän puhelimen fyysisesti kauemmas kun en sitä käytä (yleensä toiseen huoneeseen). Lisäksi se on valtaosan ajasta pelkällä värinällä.
- Olen alkanut taas punnertelemaan kotona. Yleensä neljänä iltana viikossa vähintäänOlen itse tyytyväinen tähänastisiin muutoksiin ja uusiin suuntiin. Paljon olisi vielä mielessä että mitä tehdä, mutta luulen että on tärkeämpää nyt keskittyä saamaan yllä luetelluista rutiinia. Sitten voi pohtia lisää.
Otetaanko sit vaikka tasan kolmen kuukauden päästä samanlainen katsaus? :D

The original #Tron movie touched a bunch of real issues alongside its fictional themes. IPR theft from inadequately protected workstations, loss of control over AI, and its plans for world domination.
Tron: Legacy completely ignored all realistic issues. Portraying free software as a teenage prank is just facepalm-worthy at best.
Right now, the genAI bubble is inflating, while tech bros are doing their best to overthrow democracy worldwide. Dedicated developers and FOSS might fight an epic battle to secure our future. And what is Tron: Ares about? Good and evil megacorps are fighting to acquire an algorithm. 🤦♂️ Ignorance, fear of the subject, or deliberate distraction?
It is shocking that even a 2004 film, I, Robot, raises more relevant questions about how AI and closed-source always-connected software controlled by a mega-corporation can take away people's freedom.

Daggerfall Unity is amazing. How it was redone and the modding system that was added. I'm impressed.
On the other hand, there are a lot of things that make it hard for me to enjoy.
"Assassins will come to my house, save me!" Of course she I wont tell me where the house is, so I spent half an hour checking all the houses to find it... 😅
"Only XY from Z can heal me." No one knows XY in the town of Z. 😤
"My child is kidnapped. Free him from dungeon C!" Dungeon C was demo-only content, doesn't exist in the game. 🤣
Hours wasted because basic info are missing... 🤦
The dugeoneering and fighting works well, and all of the remade things are decent, but sadly the game's core principles give me more frustration than enjoyment. I recommend it only to gamers with a lot of time.

Things I enjoyed about Chimera Squad:
👾 Shorter missions and more granular saves - I have less time now than I used to, but I can still play full missions. The shortness can still be balanced out with difficulty.
👾 Less realistic graphical style - I liked the visuals of the previous installments, but I was amazed by this style. This episode also had higher performance than XCOM 2 and required less space.
👾 Characters you can get to know and remember - I like games with small optional dialogue scenes. My favorite characters were Verge the sectoid gentleman and Patchwork the curious drone pilot.
👾 Mixed turn order - It's similar to Final Fantasy X's battle system. It added a new puzzle layer I liked.
👾 Diversity - The team is open to everyone and only skills matter. Aliens, hybrids, humans, men, women, people of color, people with disabilities, and people with different life traumas all work together to make their city a better place to live. I really enjoyed that. If there's any way for the world to heal after the events of XCOM 2, this is it.#xcom #ChimeraSquad #tacticalRPG #gaming #cyberpunk #linuxgaming #scifi

No post yesterday 😅 But I tidied up the place a bit. Pinned some icons and added the 'Network neighborhood' to feature blogs I follow.
The funny thing is that back in the XP days I didn't have any icons on the desktop to keep it clean and memory-efficient. It's a bit strang to see the long list of post icons wiggling there like some long Nokia-snake's tail.

Come on, #microsoft, it's 2025. How hard would it be to make #Outlook themeable.
Imagine using a solarized, catpuccin, nord or monokai theme in Outlook 🤩 instead of the current while-on-black and black-on-white. 😵
Even Win 3.1 had more color schemes than Outlook now. And you were able to add your own ones. In 1992!

#NowPlaying ‘the sky chases the bird’, an austere yet intensely lovely, room- and mind-filling album by @microtones, picked up in #BandcampFriday yesterday.
I’ve bought—and have enjoyed—a lot of David’s work over the years but have missed the last few releases so this was a good opportunity to remedy that.
These two long pieces are “improvisations in a microtonal just intonation tuning”. Music of sublime slowness for these lifetimes that accelerate ever onwards.
