Haben wir durch den #Neoliberalismus von #FDP & #CDU nicht "Verrentung der Einkommen nach oben" bekommen? Der Einkommensart "aus #Eigentum" hat man die Risiken und die Pflicht gestrichen, sich an #Innovationen zu beteiligen. #Wettbewerb gibt es nur in den unteren und Arbeitseinkommen. Nach oben ermöglichen quasi-feudale Privilegien (#IPR, Immobilien, ..) risikolose Einkommen.

Knowledge that governs us must no longer be allowed to remain secret, must not be allowed to be lost, and must not be monopolizable: In patent law, it is a matter of course that the "secret" becomes public after 18 MONTHS and FREE after 20 years

In 1994, the United States deliberately (mis)placed software under copyright law -> #TRIPS & #WTO, thereby enabling the global monopolies we suffer from today.

The original #Tron movie touched a bunch of real issues alongside its fictional themes. IPR theft from inadequately protected workstations, loss of control over AI, and its plans for world domination.

Tron: Legacy completely ignored all realistic issues. Portraying free software as a teenage prank is just facepalm-worthy at best.

Right now, the genAI bubble is inflating, while tech bros are doing their best to overthrow democracy worldwide. Dedicated developers and FOSS might fight an epic battle to secure our future. And what is Tron: Ares about? Good and evil megacorps are fighting to acquire an algorithm. 🤦‍♂️ Ignorance, fear of the subject, or deliberate distraction?

It is shocking that even a 2004 film, I, Robot, raises more relevant questions about how AI and closed-source always-connected software controlled by a mega-corporation can take away people's freedom.
