Na última sexta-feira (23) a juíza Nicole de Faria Neves, do 5º Juizado Especial da Fazenda da Capital, suspendeu o reajuste da passagem na região metropolitana do Recife. O aumento tinha sido aprovado em reunião do Conselho Superior de Transporte Público em 15 de janeiro, mesmo com os movimentos sociais ocupando a sede da Grande Recife Consórcio de Transporte, empresa responsável pelo gerenciamento do transporte na região metropolitana. Com o ajuste, a passagem passaria de R$ 4,30 para R$ 4,50 e entraria em vigor dia 1 de fevereiro. Acontece que o Presidente do Tribunal de Justiça de Pernambuco, o desembargador Ricardo Paes Barreto, decidiu revogar a suspensão, mantendo o aumento, com a justificativa de que “a suspensão traria prejuízo ao governo do estado”.
Esse aumento da passagem é mais um ataque ao nosso bolso e uma mostra de qual lado está a justiça e pra quem governa as autoridades do estado. Enquanto isso um trabalhador, que gasta cerca de 30% de seu salário com transporte e amarga com o alto custo de vida na região metropolitana do Recife, uma das maiores do Nordeste.

A crise hídrica em Pernambuco atinge proporções sem precedentes. Dados da Defesa Civil revelam que 107 municípios foram declarados em situação de emergência devido à estiagem prolongada. Desses, 20 reservatórios em cidades em emergência hídrica já entraram em colapso, somando 23 reservatórios colapsados no total. A barragem de Jucazinho, a sexta maior do estado, opera com apenas 0,83% de sua capacidade. A situação é crítica, com sete barragens já registrando 0% de água acumulada.
Esses números representam milhares de famílias sem acesso à água potável, agricultores que perderam suas plantações e trabalhadores sem sustento. É a consequência direta do capitalismo, que transforma um bem essencial à vida, como a água, em mercadoria.
Enquanto isso, o governo estadual insiste em privatizar a Compesa, medida que aprofundará ainda mais a dificuldade para os pernambucanos.
