Studio Endorphin update
so many possibilities...trying to check out a guitar a day, tune it up, play for a few, plug it in, find out what shape it's in. The collection is diminished, what remains, moved and sat in storage for 14 months. Some of these pedals and hardware I haven't plugged in for years.

Today is Adriaan Fokker's birthday. He was one of the most influential 20th century theorists of musical tunings. Inspired by the earlier work of Nicola Vicentino and Christiaan Huygens, he became a champion of 31-EDO, a tuning that's becoming more popular nowadays. He famously designed a 31-EDO organ that's still played regularly in concerts in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.
Fokker was a Dutch academic physicist who started to work on music theory and musical tunings during WW2, when Leiden University was closed. During that time he also wrote a lot of music in 31-EDO, which, sadly, isn't being played that much anymore.
