Ecosia brengt eigen browser naar Linux
De Europese zoekmachine Ecosia heeft een browser voor Linux uitgebracht. De browser is direct beschikbaar via Ubuntu’s pakketbeheerder Snap en richt zich op gebruikers die waarde hechten aan privacy, digitale onafhankelijkheid en duurzaamheid.

Eigen browser
Ecosia kondigt de Linux-versie aan als uitbreiding van zijn browseraanbod. Volgens het bedrijf sluit de browser aan bij de groeiende belangstelling voor Linux onder ontwikkelaars en privacybewuste gebruikers. Ecosia wil met de nieuwe versie een alternatief bieden voor browsers en zoekdiensten van grote Amerikaanse technologiebedrijven.

I’m flying to San Francisco tomorrow evening only to turn left at SFO so I can spend the next two days in Mountain View for Google I/O–my 12th trip to cover Google’s developer conference.
