Nutzt jemensch eine Fitnessuhr des Models „Mi Band 8“ und hatte es schonmal, dass ohne aktivierten Wecker und ohne Verbindung zum Smartfon jeden Morgen um 07:00 ein Wecker losgeht? Hab das Mi-Band schon ein Mal zurückgesetzt,  bimmelt dennoch. #Xiaomi #MiBand

Of course it breaks just when it has a completely new strap, and I ordered three spares just in case… This is so me.

I'd like to reactivate my Mi Band 8, but this time without having to use the Mi Fit app at all.

The device is already paired and working with #Gadgebridge, but I'm struggling to find a safe (!) site where I can download new firmware files. The last update's been about two years ago.

Any hints?

scassamento mi bandico, ecco senza cinturino e senza risate

La notte passata, mentre dormivo, si è avverato quello che negli ultimi giorni presenziava nella mia testa come uno degli incubi più peggiori che sarebbero stati a portata di colpirmi… e quindi palle: si è rotto il cinturino (merdoso, di fabbrica, porca miseria quante schifezze fanno pur di risparmiare) della Mi Band, si è spezzat, e ora insomma sono senza… esattamente come mi successe con la 3 a suo tempo, forse anche con una simile tempistica, quindi questi pezzi di gommacacca non sono minimamente migliorati negli anni. Ovviamente, me ne sono accorta solo quando mi sono svegliata dalla mie infinite eppur finite ore di sonno che non mi bastano, non nel momento preciso, ahah… che da un lato è meglio, perché le bestemmie in piena notte non è il caso, ma dall’altro così mi sono persa l’attimo dello spacc, uffa. 😐

Avevo già sringraziato Xiaomi del fatto che con la Band 8 hanno cambiato la forma dei cinturini, quindi con la 9 la mia collezioncina di quelli per la 3 non va bene, e già al tempo sapevo che avrei dovuto fare compere aggiuntive per avere della varietà sfavillante (o quantomeno di base, insomma), ma subito mi seccai e mai comprai, perché non si trovava roba super bella se non a prezzi altini, pure con cinturini non ufficiali (che è il minimo, figuriamoci se do altri soldi a Xiaomi dopo questo tipo di smacco, anche se i cinturuni che loro stessi vendono a parte sono “premium” e non ciofeche). Ormai non ho scelta, però, e se non mi sbrigo a comprare un cinturino rimarrò senza ‘o rilogg, che è grave… 🙀

Rotto per rotto sto coso, a dirla tutta, stasera ho provato a riciclarlo in modo simpatico, cucendo un filo di cotone nella parte di gomma spezzata piccola per farne una collanina; che è in realtà una modalità di indosso suggerita dalla casa cinese maledetta, che vende pure l’accessorio collanina a parte i braccialetti… Peccato che no, missione fallita, è un vero troiaio e probabilmente non va bene nemmeno come ripiego per pochi giorni; è quasi meglio niente. A dire il vero, non neanche è scomodo così, ma ho seri dubbi che riesca a contare i passi e tutto quanto (per non parlare di sonno e frequenza cardiaca che lì, ovviamente, non ci stan versi così)… e poi, le notifiche dei messaggi e le chiamate temo non arrivino, visto che già mi sembra non arrivino sempre quando la band non è indossata, ma attivando la modalità collanina dalle impostazioni (esatto, esiste, mamma mia), che sarebbe idealmente da fare, un avviso dice proprio che le notifiche vengono spente. 🥴

Vabbé, coperò a riguardo di questa schifezza finché non mi arriverà (ma, prima di ciò, ordinerò, che è la parte difficile) un cinturino metallico rosa o qualcosa del genere, che si spera possa essere più resistente persino della mia anima — oltre che della Mi Band stessa che, almeno quella, non si sta rompendo a caso, almeno per ora. Al di là di tutto, però, a me piacerebbe sapere come mai questo cinturino si è spaccato, fisicamente… la mia teoria è che, essendo io magrissima, e dovendo quindi tenerlo sempre molto stretto (al massimo o quasi), questo stesse particolarmente in tensione rispetto a come starebbe per altre persone, e quindi ops, tutti i microstress subiti nel tempo avranno fatto accumulare microfratture (e alcune si vedono bene in foto)… e però non capisco come mai una di queste sia poi diventata una macrofrattura mentre dormivo. (Non si può veramente riposare in pace…!) 🤥

Any hints of some models that are not of American or Chinese brands? I loved #miband generation 1, 2 and 4.

One thing that is guaranteed to happen with these bands, however, is that the strap that originally comes with it will fail within a year.

I've had three bands made by Xiaomi, and all three needed replacements straps.

My next band/smartwatch/whatever might not be a Xiaomi device anymore.

And while getting my #MiBand 3 to work was still somewhat tidious, all it takes to get a Mi Band 8 to work with #Gadgetbridge is extracting the device's key with a two liner... :mastogrin:

Мой Mi Band 7 внезапно сломался (во сне отвалился экран), я съездил в магаз и купил Mi Band 8.

Но оказалось что новый браслет не работает с Zepp Life, а только с Mi Fitness. А Mi Fitness не может импортировать данные из Zepp Life из-за GDPR (???? я вообще в Грузии) – исторические данные за полтора года проебаны. Также Mi Fitness не умеет в экспорт данных в Google Fit.

Если взять только Software часть, то это жесткий даунгрейд.

@dawenzlik @kuketzblog man könnte irgendeine Datenkrake kaufen - z.B. ein #miband - und die zugehörige APP alleine in einen nur dafür angelegten weiteren User mit Google Play Services und sehr guten Adblockern packen. Der user wird dann nur bei Bedarf gestartet und hat nicht das Recht im Hintergrund zu laufen. Nicht schön, aber würde gehen...

Tipp: Man muss seine Fitness-Uhr nicht zwangsläufig mit den datenhungrigen Apps der Anbieter betreiben. Es gibt schon seit längerer Zeit Gadgetbridge - falls euer Gerät unterstützt wird, ist das eine echte Alternative! ⌚

Попользовался месяца полтора Apple Watch SE. В принципе, нравилось. Но, в итоге, вернулся на свой старый добрый Xiaomi Band 7.
Watch все-таки хороши как приятный аксессуар и универсальное устройство. А вот band - куда более утилитарная и узконаправленная штуковина. Считать шаги, распознавать сон и стресс у него пока получается лучше, чем у часов. И заряд держит около двух недель.
