Чьерт побьери, меня опять в модифицированный #Daggerfall засосало.
Отправился от Гильдии Бойцов стартового города выкуривать гиганта из старого замка. Заказ за символичные 150 золотых (даже меньше). На свою беду поставил мод, который разрешает фаст-тревэл только от крупных городов через кареты (а ля силт-страйдеры из сами-знаете-откуда). Посему пришлось идти пешком по дороге, отбиваясь от бандитов, орков и беснующихся в королевстве некромантов и делая передышки в тавернах.
По пути залутал ништяков на 5000 золотых, чтобы купить на них лошадь и баркас (хотя до баркаса далеко, надо хотя бы телегой обзавестись). До гиганта за 150 золотых ехать еще дня два.
К слову, баркас и большая часть ништяков добавлены через моды.

Man, I really want to play #elderscrolls #daggerfall but after watching a few #Youtube videos I feel like you have to take a college class in character creation just to survive the first dungeon... it's kind of complicated.

Se GOT era venduto come "I Soprano nella Terra di Mezzo" a 'sto giro io torno a fare una roba simile dalle parti di Tamriel e oh, tra mod e immensità ruolose sto bestione del 1996 mi diverte ancora tantissimo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0KViOMDcOUFor those who aren't familiar with the lore, this book essentially details the events at the end of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall from the perspective of various Blades agents who were in the area and experienced it. While magic exists in the world of The Elder Scrolls, events like The Warp In The West take incomprehensible amounts of it and are a truly rare sort of phenomenon :frog_blush:
These accounts of the event were only accessible to very few, and only because of the existence of The Blades, a security and information organisation that answers to the emperor. Meanwhile, most people were either not privy to the details of the event or simply call it an act of the divines.

One problem of translating the game called "Daggerfall" into Latin language is to be able to translate names of mythological creatures, like "Lich", or like "Spriggan".

Daggerfall Unity is amazing. How it was redone and the modding system that was added. I'm impressed.
On the other hand, there are a lot of things that make it hard for me to enjoy.
"Assassins will come to my house, save me!" Of course she I wont tell me where the house is, so I spent half an hour checking all the houses to find it... 😅
"Only XY from Z can heal me." No one knows XY in the town of Z. 😤
"My child is kidnapped. Free him from dungeon C!" Dungeon C was demo-only content, doesn't exist in the game. 🤣
Hours wasted because basic info are missing... 🤦
The dugeoneering and fighting works well, and all of the remade things are decent, but sadly the game's core principles give me more frustration than enjoyment. I recommend it only to gamers with a lot of time.

I've talked about Jagar Tharn and his betrayel and imprisonment of Emperor Uriel Septim VII (the grandpa at the beginning of Oblivion), right? and I've called that and the dragon break called The Warp in the West as all events of daggerfall?

Eigentlich müsse man meinen, dass #Daggerfall im Leben nicht auf dem #SteamDeck funktioniert, aber tut es, dank #DaggerfallUnity. Auch wenn die Steuerung gewöhnungsbedürftig ist.
