  1. Minor upgrade. Added an 128G eMMC module to my running on . armbian-config made it simple to transfer the installed OS from the sd-card to the emmc module. Had to fix a permission problem on one file to get pihole web ui working again.

  3. There's also a Batocera build for the #LePotato, which has an aml-s905x-cc maybe similar to a #Powkiddy #A20? I can get ten of those for $35 amazon.com/dp/B0BPCWTQQ7

Notes for #OSX. If you use homebrew, run

"brew Install pyusb" before trying to run “python3 -m pip install pyusb”

You'll also need "brew install git" if you don't have it installed :)

Everything else works as per these instructions.

  8. What are the odds that someone here happens to know how to disable USB boot on the #LibreComputer #LePotato #sbc (AML-S905X-CC to be precise)? Can't get mine to boot with an external drive connected.. (and asking on their official forums does not provide any answers)

  10. BENCHMARKFEST 2023 UPDATE

Le Potato testing is complete as is retesting of the Inovato Quadra and Rock 5B. Still waiting to hear back about a possible trade to acquire a Raspberry Pi 4B. Retesting of Mini PCs will commence later tonight as well as putting Le Potato in my GeeekPi cluster case.

  15. Heatsink for "Le Potato" has arrived! Benchmarking may resume!

  16. @Stark9837 @Edent In recent days I have read a couple articles suggesting the #LePotato as a good replacement for the #RaspberryPi 3B - I have not used it personally so can't say how compatible it is with a real Raspberry Pi though. Be aware the ethernet connection is only 10/100, not GB.

  18. Also, the ale Potato is a competent little Pi 3 B+ replacement for basic use cases. #raspberrypi #arm #relay #52pi #hat #maker #electronics #lepotato #sbc

  20. Today is probably heatsink day. The two heatsinks from the have also arrived....

  21. With Raspberry PIs SBCs still hard to find or out of my price range, I found this Libre Le Potato Board for $35.00 bucks, doesn't have the WiFi - but does have 2gb of ram, It seems to run #Armbian fairly well, but I haven't had a chance to try out any hats or do any real tests on it. It does seem to have a overscan problem with this display, but otherwise it's good.
I didn't mind adding USB WiFi - kind of reminds of how things were with the Rpi 2B.

  23. I want to set up a #PersonalWiki for notes in general and for planning #TTRPGs in particular, with Markdown or something similar and hyperlinks between notes. I could run one on a webserver on my single-board computer #LePotato. Which Wiki server would people recommend?

  27. #tic80 on #LibreComputer update:

    - The headless #rasbian image from Libre did a nice job getting #LePotato online with a cheap USB Wifi dongle
    - Next up I'll start on the #ansible role to inflate from a raw headless Raspbian image into some kind of Tic80 kiosk. Probably on #i3wm so the escape keys can be used to run other processes when I need them.

Should result in a $70 computer that kids can sit at to learn to code

  29. #tic80 on #librecomputer update - the #RetroPi build for #lePotato appears to be just broken right now.

I'm going to retreat to a hopefully fully supported headless #cli #raspbian build, and try to build up to Tic-80 kiosk from there.

Probably will still start an #ansible role once I get a stable image on the LePotato running on my local network.

I have heard of the Le Potato before - looks like there is current support from Armbian for it:

    armbian.com/lepotato/

and here's a review / tutorial for booting it off of SSD

    jamesachambers.com/libre-le-po

    or is that a #tootorial ?

The various photos I show have a big heat sink installed.

The Kickstarter for this board was in 2017:

(If @ric96 has any added info he can chime in.)
