  1. Am Wochenende waren @ixs und ich für @bawuenet im Rechenzentrum. Unsere beiden #Fileserver haben jeweils zwei #SSDs bekommen. Dafür war ein etwas größerer Umbau nötig: wir mussten jeweils das komplette Innenleben in neue Gehäuse umbauen, damit die SSDs Platz finden. Dank #Redundanz haben unsere Benutzer von dem ganzen Hardwaretausch absolut nichts mitbekommen. Selbst das umkopieren hat Andreas schlau gelöst sodass bis auf die hoffentlich bessere Performance und den für neue Projekte gewonnene Platz unsere Nutzer von der Aktion nichts mitbekommen haben.

  3. OK, I'm impressed! I'm quite "verbose" and generally feel bad about the length of my READMEs for the opposite reason most devs do. But copyparty takes the crown. They built the everything app before Elon Musk. It looks like a late '90s or early 2000s messy college project that went way, way overboard. You can even run it out of an 865KB Python file! I absolutely love it. Have you heard of it before?

    I don't know how I got that #FileCoffee #FileServer to work before. Failing, presently. #Docker is not my forte, and that's prob a requisite. Not difficult, but i just up'd to Debian Testing, and ... don't probably do that, unless you are crazy.

    Maybe set up a #FileServer (#NAS?) maybe even network boot? and perhaps even a #Postgresql database? Is having SQL DB available on the local network going to be useful? What about other databases?
