Am Wochenende waren @ixs und ich für @bawuenet im Rechenzentrum. Unsere beiden #Fileserver haben jeweils zwei #SSDs bekommen. Dafür war ein etwas größerer Umbau nötig: wir mussten jeweils das komplette Innenleben in neue Gehäuse umbauen, damit die SSDs Platz finden. Dank #Redundanz haben unsere Benutzer von dem ganzen Hardwaretausch absolut nichts mitbekommen. Selbst das umkopieren hat Andreas schlau gelöst sodass bis auf die hoffentlich bessere Performance und den für neue Projekte gewonnene Platz unsere Nutzer von der Aktion nichts mitbekommen haben.

С момента моего погружения в мир Linux, я периодически приходил к мысли о том, что было бы неплохо прикупить домашний сервер, так как штука это очень полезная. Так как квартира небольшая и стационарного ПК дома нет (только ноутбуки, мой и жены), то конечно хотелось бы какое-то компактное решение. Однако периоды таких размышлений ограничивались только размышлениями и не приводили к целенаправленной деятельности, но до определенной череды событий... Тык

Meine Rust-Implementierung von prosody-filer (XMPP HTTP Upload Server) "rusty-filer" hat mittlerweile schon denselben Funktionsumfang wie das Original. Wenn ich nichts vergessen habe.
Nun muss ich den Code noch aufräumen, optimieren und einige Unit Tests schreiben, um sicherzustellen, dass auch alles funktioniert.
... und dann kann ich den Fileserver mal mit trashserver.net verwenden 😉. Aber erst, wenn ich mir ziemlich sicher bin, dass er auch funktioniert.
