okay what's in the actual physical machine right now is an Intel Core i5-9400 YES IT IS AN ANTIQUE
it was fine until mastodon started pulling in all replies. which is absolutely a feature i support but dang it is it making my federated wordpress blog hard CPU-bound
(it does at least have a decent cooler so is not _also_ overheating. temps are good.)
$200 on eBay gets me like 2 more cores and 10 more threads without having to change out anything else
maybe i should do that?
lot cheaper than new mb and new RAM
(it's not at all short on ram, this thing has acres of DDR4)
still an oof tho'

🎉 Ah, yes, the pinnacle of tech innovation: turning your 8-bit #microcontroller into a web server, because who needs reliability and performance anyways? 🤖 Why rely on cloud solutions when you can challenge yourself with a glorified calculator that’ll crash if it gets a single upvote on Hacker News? 😂

So, website recipe I'd like is, from what I see
- openBSD
- some web server idk, caddy? Nginx? Lighttpd? Gnet? Does openBSD package a web server by default?
- port forwarding (weh is there any other way? I don't like it. Can you like reverse proxy idk?)
- registrar DNS magic *jazz hands*Please do tell me if there is a better way to self-host a website (I dont want a VPS)
Assume I have static IP internet

🎮🤯 Oh wow, a Nintendo Wii doubling as a web server! Because nothing screams "cutting-edge technology" like a 729 MHz CPU and 64 MB RAM. 🌐 But hey, if you manage to connect over #IPv6, you might just find the cure for insomnia hidden in those network errors. 😂📡
