Here we go again: After the last update of #armbian the #nextcloud error #HPB down appears the second time in two weeks. The only relevant update was for the #redis server. I can do almost anything except uploading files from clients, e.g. android. This time there is no error in apache2/nc_error.log
Error in nextcloud.log:

Error: Failed opening required '/var/www/nextcloud/apps/calendar/composer/../vendor/autoload.php'

The file does exist, though:
# ls -l /var/www/nextcloud/apps/calendar/composer/../vendor/autoload.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 724 Jul 22 16:23 /var/www/nextcloud/apps/calendar/composer/../vendor/autoload.php

Heute ein Update von Armbian gemacht. Danach: SSL error wegen "certificate stapling - no longer supported" von letsencrypt. Anpassung an ssl Conf nötig. Leider nun wieder die katastrophale Fehlermeldung "HPB Service: down'.
Eine meiner liebsten Fehlermeldung. Gibt es keine Doku zu den Ursachen oder was alles klappen muss, damit der Service auf "up" stellt ?
Ich wünsche keinem Nextcloud supporter diese geniale Fehlermeldung. Nein, kein Eintrag dazu im nextcloud.log.

Alright lets see if I can finally put my original Orangepi Zero (with case!) to work for once.

Gonna try to use it for a sendspin client in the garage for now. Fingers crossed xradio drivers are working.

Сегодня другу пришёл его #OrangePi zero 3 и что самое приятное, сразу с таким как у меня корпусом и платой расширения. Установили #ARMbian , спасибо комьюнити, что такая возможность есть. Не устаю восхищаться силой #opensource и сообществ. Не уверен, что друг до конца разделяет мой восторг, что я втянул его в эту историю и теперь в круге моего общения с #homelab я буду возится не в одиночестве.

If you are a self-proclaimed teaching channel, you have the duty to do your due research.

Case in point, you do NOT tell people to use an alternative #SBC to the RPi whose OS was last updated mid-2025, is still running Debian 12, its vendor is stuck on Kernel 6.1, and the SBC has been unavailable anywhere (because thank you very much AI) when you post the video (today!).

And you don't even bother talking about #Armbian, which would remediate at least part of those issues, because let's face it, if it weren't for Armbian, most of the non-RPi SBCs would not have an even remotely proper OS support.

And lack of proper OS support will only lead to bad experiences for the users sooner or later.

Do better.

Попалась мне NanoPi Neo3 на 1GB RAM, НО по очень приятной цене, не смог устоять и приобрёл. Больше железа богу железа, как говорится. Да и в конце концов, будет на чём продолжать изучение и эксперементы с #Linux соблюдая разнообразие.

Ну, не могу я себя держать в руках при виде миниатюрных компьютеров и инструментов. Слабости и умиление побеждают прагматика во мне.

Today i finally upgraded my second #odroidhc4 with #armbian to #trixie as well.
This device runs a bare armbian with the tech stack required for #nextcloud (Apache2, PHP, MariaDB, Valkey).

The device is pretty fast given the low-power ARM SoC and works absolutely fine for my 5 user nextcloud instance.

Far from perfect, but #ChatGPT can be helpful faster than #Radxa support.

I got some Radxa Rock 4B+ boards with AW‑NB197SM WiFi module and turns out it was some custom batch or smth.

So they removed support for this module in Radxa OS r4 and onwards, though it works on r3.

Also WiFi works great on #DietPi and #Armbian, so not a hardware fault.

After fiddling for quite a while ChatGPT made me a shell script that fixes - feel free to use it: https://github.com/in-sympathy/radxa_rock_4bplus_wifi_fix

На #raspberrypi бюджета не хватило, да и сомневаюсь в его необходимости до тех пор, пока сам не понимаю полного списка необходимых мне сервисов. Думаю, он будет нужен, но позже.

И так: #orangepi , а конкретно Zero 3. Соотношение цена/мощность самые оптимальные на мой взгляд при текущем положении цен на рынке #IT железа. Размеры, характеристики и возможности уже вызывают предвкушение.

wow, my Armbian first boot experience with the FriendlyElec NanoPi M6 was WAY ahead of what I went thru with the M4 - clearly a ton of work has been happening!

here's what I did:

1. write the @armbian image to a microSD.
2. connect all necessary peripherals to the #NanoPi and insert the microSD.
3. turn on the power.

that's all. it Just Worked. #Armbian
