I just upgraded my server from #Debian #Bookworm to #Trixie. Then upgraded my @nextcloud server through two or three versions to the current stable release. All done, no problems, less than two hours. That's a first.
I think the key thing, at least on the #Nextcloud side, was being familiar enough with `find` and `sed` at this point that I could pretty quickly find and set variables in all the versions of php.ini in /etc/, rather than manually hunting them down and trying to figure out which one was actually in play.

Ha! The recent #KDE-Platform update (#Flatpak) broke my #FreeCAD (#Flatpak) installation on #Debian #Trixie, resulting in an enormous list of errors—and, more importantly, no UI!
Downgrading the KDE-Platform Flatpak (6.10) by one commit fixed the errors:
sudo flatpak update --commit=49bc183da466bec44bab4f6f641cab401584d1ee30872b428f46c3b8066527d3 org.kde.Platform/x86_64/6.10

#Digitalisierung made by #DeutscheBahn? #OMFG!

# Angeschlossenes USB RAID Laufwerk.
/dev/sdb1 /media/USBRaid ext4 auto,nouser,exec,async,noatime 0 0
# Network Attached Storage Synology
192.168.2.120:/volume1/backup /media/synology223j/backup nfs auto,user,exec,async,noatime 0 0

Since Debian Trixie, the /tmp directory has been a ramdisk. It’s in memory, so it’s completely wiped after a reboot. I was raised on the idea that “tmp is tmp,” so that’s fine with me. It does use memory, but only the necessary amount is allocated. I don’t really see any major advantages for my system, except perhaps that the /tmp directory is cleared more consistently.
The more I use Linux, the more I realize I still don’t know much about it. -

Debian Trixie 13.5 installation ISOs are now live!
Yesterday, the Debian release team announced that the fifth point release, Debian Trixie 13.5, was released to the general public for upgrades! This point release was said to add security bug fixes, along with other adjustments for serious problems. Today, the release process continued with the availability of the ISO files!
Starting from today, you can finally download Debian Trixie 13.5 ISO files from the official Debian website. You can download the following variants:
- Network installation
- DVD installation
- Live GNOME
- Live XFCE
- Live KDE
- Live Cinnamon
- Live Debian Junior
- Live LXDE
- Live LXQt
- Live MATE
- Live Standard
This point release version of Debian Trixie 13 includes the following changes:
- Various security bug fixes have been integrated to the Linux kernel, which ensures that your computer becomes more secure.
- Various security bug fixes have been integrated to different packages, such as
