    one interesting thing I learned this week, LXC 'VMs' on Proxmox do not have an emulated graphics card, so if you install a desktop environment on one, you need to connect to it using something like #NoMachine.

    I've been using NoMachine for years at this point, ever since the bitrot in #X2Go got too bad to ignore. it works quite well, apart from some annoying minor bugs with grabbing keyboard input on Cinnamon.

    Any XQuartz users on here ? I've been using it with x2go. Every time I move to a different workspace, the window disappears and is really hard to get back...

    Any XQuartz users who have managed to make sense of this UI ? Apple UIX so borked and dysfunctional :( At least I can go back to a linux box at work through XQuartz. Oh wait, no I can't...

    So I was having so much trouble x2go-ing with vscode for notebooks. Moved the workflow to emacs with jupytext and voilà ! I can open as many instances as I want, my crappy ssh bandwidth is ok, and of course, I can actually code properly. Win!

    @computertruhe ENOTIME, leider 😪 Momentan leiden alle meine ehrenamtlichen Projekte (#Grannophone, #X2Go, orca.e.V.) darunter, genauso wie meine Nebenjobs und mein Privatleben. Muss auf absehbare Zeit 3 Tage/Woche 4h/Tag berufspendeln, weil kein Job mit 100% Homeoffice oder in meiner näheren Umgebung für mich passt, und die Firma seit längerem Flaute hat. Wobei sicher auch die persönliche Situation mit dran schuld ist (pflegebedürftiges Haushaltsmitglied).
    Und leider ist die Pendelzeit von diversen Umstiegen zerrissen und die Züge sind ab der Hälfte der Strecke meist überfüllt, so dass man auch nicht im Zug arbeiten kann.

    Терминальная ферма 1C на x2go

    Итак, импортозамещение катится по стране неостановимым катком. Внесём свой посильный вклад. Под давлением обстоятельств нам пришлось сделать терминальную ферму на ОС REDOS и x2go (из комплекта поставки ОС). В принципе, решение получилось рабочим, с небольшими особенностями. В статье ниже простыни ansible playbooks и более ничего.

    Je découvre que #vnc est unmaintenand depuis 3ans
    du "libre" : pas #nomachine ou #anydesk
    j'ai testé #rustdesk : c'est pas assez sec pour moi
    #x2go, why not mais c'est du aur only (ou je compile à la main + maj :/)
